The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, October 11, teases that Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) will go missing at the palazzo after Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) kicks Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) out. Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) apology will also fail to earn him forgiveness, so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.
At the palazzo, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will admit to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) that Nick is off trying to make peace with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Jack will have faith that it’ll all work out before Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) wedding pics come through on Jack and Phyllis’ phones.
As for Nick, he’ll approach Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in hopes of seeing where Victoria’s head is at. Nick will hope there’s a chance he can repair his relationship with Victoria before the wedding, but Victor will make it clear that he won’t let anyone cause problems on his daughter’s big day.
Since Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will be struggling with his best man speech, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will suggest a trip to the little winery down the road. Nate won’t get any romantic inspiration from the visit, but Elena will hope the wine will get his creative juices flowing.
Next, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will wonder if Victoria’s sure she’s all in on the wedding tomorrow. He won’t want Victoria to go through with the marriage if her main motivation is taking a precaution for the company. Victoria will only want to focus on the wedding and their love for each other. She’ll assure Ashland that she understands his past decisions and will promise they’re OK.
Victoria will add that by this time tomorrow, they’ll be husband and wife. She’ll feel like nothing’s going to stop them now. Later, Ashland will cough and have to sit down for a moment. He’ll assure Victoria that he’s all right as they discuss the vows they’ve written for each other.
Meanwhile, Billy will sneak in a room with Gaines and warn that they’re going to do this very carefully. Gaines will want some dramatic scene of humiliation for Ashland at the altar, but Billy will just want to approach Victoria privately and quietly.
Gaines will decide it’s fine as long as the outcome is the same: Locke humiliated on his wedding day. Before Billy goes off looking for Victoria, he’ll warn Gaines to stay put. After Billy runs into Elena and Nate following their winery visit, they’ll hope he’s come to terms with the wedding happening. Billy will have a feeling that things will go how they’re supposed to go.
Next, Billy will hear Ashland coughing like crazy and enter his room. He’ll offer to get Nate, but Ashland will nix that plan and just request some water. Ashland will note that if Billy has any plans to disrupt the wedding, there’s something he should know.
However, Victor will interrupt to insist Billy needs to leave the premises or else he’ll be thrown out. Billy will ask where to find Victoria, but Victor will think “Billy Boy” is really pressing his luck. Once Victor’s alone with Ashland, he’ll admit that a man matching Gaines description was a passenger on Billy’s plane.
Victor will think they need a way to handle Gaines since he’s the only other person who knows about Ashland’s old crime. As for Billy, he’ll return to the room he left Gaines in and realize the guy is gone. “Damn it!” Billy will exclaim with a frustrated sigh.
Over with Victoria again, she’ll agree to hear Nick out. Nick will insist it was never his intention to betray Victoria and will add that he’d never hurt her on purpose. Victoria will still feel like the trust was broken between them and won’t think Nick’s apology is enough.
That said, Victoria will agree to let Nick stay if he wants. She’ll suggest Victor and Nikki would approve if Nick did, but he’ll only care about Victoria’s opinion. Victoria will argue that she’ll be focused on Ashland and probably won’t even notice if Nick’s in the crowd.
Nick will scoff about that not being an invitation, but Victoria won’t know what more he’s expecting from her. She won’t think it’s her job to absolve Nick or make him feel better, so she’ll stomp off. When Nick brings Phyllis up to speed later, he’ll suggest doesn’t want to cast a shadow on Victoria’s wedding by staying.
“Seriously, are we leaving?” Phyllis will ask in shock. As for Nikki, she’ll worry about what’ll happen if Nick finds out about Ashland’s latest confession. Nikki will fear it could add fuel to the fire, but she’ll downplay the family conflict when Jack asks about it.
Victoria will talk to Reed Hellstrom (Tristan Lake Leabu) over the phone and promise that she understands he can’t make it. Other than missing Reed, Victoria will insist everything is “perfection.”
Afterward, Victoria will find Victor sharing a tense moment with Ashland over the Gaines situation. She’ll quickly grill Ashland and Victor about what’s going on.
