The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, September 13 Recap – Summer & Kyle Civil Ceremony – Nick Bored with Phyllis

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, September 13, teases that there’ll be talk about Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) civil marriage ceremony plans – and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will clearly be bored with the usual fun he has with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

At The Grand Phoenix on Monday’s Y&R episode, Nick will show up to try out some new equipment at the gym.

Phyllis will flirt with Nick about his muscles before he heads off, so that’ll give Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) a chance to swoop in and apologize if he made Phyllis uncomfortable with his recent confession.

Phyllis will argue that Jack was merely being candid – just speaking his truth. She won’t think Jack has to apologize for that, so he’ll clarify that he was apologizing for her potential discomfort, not the true things he said.

Phyllis will be glad Jack got what he needed to off his chest, but she’ll seem a bit flustered when Nick returns.

Nick will mention that Summer got in touch about travel plans for her civil marriage ceremony with Kyle. After Phyllis brings up all the Italy weddings coming up, Nick will insist there’s a lot of love in the air.

At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will greet Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) after summoning him so that they could get to know each other a bit better.

Victor will fish for details about Ashland’s early business days, but Ashland will act like he doesn’t want to focus on the past.

At Society, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) it seems like Ashland didn’t exist until he met his mentor, Camilla Rhodes.

Victoria won’t be impressed by Billy’s discoveries regarding Ashland’s lack of birth certificate and the lack of death certificates for his parents.

Victoria will scoff and suggest that maybe Ashland is an alien from Mars. She’ll think Billy needs to stop this ridiculous search for dirt and will warn him not to say anything negative about Ashland to their children.

Victoria won’t know what Billy’s capable of anymore, but she’ll intend to show him what she’s capable of if this keeps up!

Once Victoria meets up with Ashland at home, she’ll fill him in on her tense encounter with Billy.

Victoria will bring up the birth certificate and death certificate drama, but she’ll assure Ashland that she told Billy it was ridiculous.

After Ashland gets a text from someone who says he’ll regret ignoring them, Ashland will decide to make a confession. He’ll tell Victoria that Billy isn’t wrong and add that there’s something she needs to know.

At the Chancellor mansion, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will get upset as Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) heads to the park with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor.

Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will find Mariah looking distraught, so Mariah will admit she’s sad and scared, too.

No matter what Mariah does, she won’t be able to shake the thought that Abby’s history with Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) was the reason for all the danger.

Mariah will point out that Stitch still wants Abby and is willing to do terrible, crazy things to get her back.

Despite the beefed-up security and reassurance she keeps hearing, Mariah will worry that Stitch will come back. Tessa will argue that Stitch is a wanted fugitive and will add that none of them will be fooled again.

Tessa will mention that Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz) will return eventually, but Mariah will insist that could take weeks, months or who knows how long.

Mariah will break down in tears as she hints about using up all her bravery in that room.

Tessa will think maybe a distraction would do Mariah some good and will suggest going somewhere. However, Mariah won’t be feeling up to it and will request some time alone.

Meanwhile, Jack will bump into Abby at the park and gush over the baby being a miracle. He’ll be taken aback to learn Chance doesn’t know Dominic’s been born and will offer support.

Abby will promise Jack that Dominic won’t miss out on one bit of love since everyone in the house intends to make sure of it.

When Abby returns to the Chancellor mansion, she’ll get updates on Tessa’s troubling discussion with Mariah.

Tessa will note that Mariah’s getting worse instead of better, so Abby will think they have to find a way to help her. Nearby, Mariah will eavesdrop on their concerns and look glum.

At Newman Media, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will speak with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) via video chat.

Chelsea won’t see the rush in talking to Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) since things are up in the air right now, but Adam will suggest that’s not the case when it comes to their relationship.

Chelsea will admit she thought things would get better with time, but Adam will argue that they need to go their separate ways.

Although Chelsea will urge Adam to try again for Connor’s sake, his mind will be made up on splitting.

Chelsea will eventually accept that, but she’ll insist Adam needs to wait until she’s home so they can tell Connor together.

When Adam asks when Chelsea’s returning to Genoa City, she won’t be sure since Anita Lawson (Catherine Bach) took a turn for the worse.

Chelsea will explain that Anita fell and reinjured herself – plus, she’s refusing to let Chelsea hire a nurse.

Adam will think that under the circumstances, it’s best if he just deals with this himself. He’ll point out that they would get Connor’s hopes up if they planned a Minnesota trip.

Connor would be crushed once he realized the true purpose of the trip was to inform him about his parents’ separation.

Chelsea will get frustrated since Adam won’t bring Connor to Minnesota and won’t wait for her either.

Chelsea will lash out over Adam’s refusal to compromise and will accuse him of only thinking about what’s easiest for him. Adam will try to deny that, but Chelsea will simply hang up.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will arrive to find that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) has been waiting for her during his break.

After Sharon admits she went to see Adam about Connor, Rey will feel like other people could’ve offered that guidance.

Rey will find himself asking the old question of whether Adam will ever be out of their lives. He’ll need to get back to the police station and won’t think discussing the matter any further would change things anyway.

Afterward, Sally will approach the counter and seek a recommendation for a new drink. She’ll admit she was surprised to find out Sharon runs the place since she remembers Sharon’s name from Restless Style.

When Sally asks if Sharon misses working in fashion, Sharon will glare at her and insist not at all.

Sharon will act perfectly content with her life since she’s got a master’s degree in psychology and owns the coffeehouse. Sally will suggest it seems like Sharon has it all then with her great career and handsome husband.

“I guess I do. Enjoy your latte,” Sharon will say as she basically dismisses Sally. Adam will waltz in, but he’ll send Sally back to speak with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) at the office. That’ll give Adam to talk to Sharon, who’ll point out Sally is a handful and has a crush on Adam.

Adam will think Sharon’s letting her imagination run away with her, but he’ll insist it doesn’t matter anyway. He’ll think he’s got enough on his plate and won’t be interested in another complicated woman after the conversation he just had with Chelsea.

Adam will act like he’s fine on his own for now, so Sharon will admit sometimes that’s the best approach.

Back with Sally, she’ll quiz Chloe about Adam’s history with Sharon. Chloe will get fed up over Sally having a thing for Adam, but Sally will argue that she’s just curious.

However, Chloe will contend that Sharon and Adam indeed had a complicated, profound relationship – one that pushed Chelsea over the edge.

Chloe will insist that Adam can’t seem to get Sharon out of his system and probably never will.

In The Grand Phoenix lobby again, Nick won’t seem interested in the bridal gown suggestions Phyllis shows him for Summer. Phyllis will also offer to put on a private fashion show and let Nick pick her own dress for the wedding.

“Sounds fun,” Nick will reply unenthusiastically. Phyllis will feel like something’s bothering Nick, but he’ll act like he’s content with where their relationship is at these days.

After Phyllis points out fun is sort of their thing, Nick will seem a bit uneasy.

“But it’s not all we have, right?” Nick will ask. Phyllis will assure Nick that they have a good balance of love and fun. She’ll think they’ve paid their drama dues and that they’ve earned not having to work so hard anymore.

Nick will be glad they’re on the same page just before Phyllis takes his hand. She’ll talk about how lucky and grateful she is as Jack watches them in the distance.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis and Nick’s romance is headed for trouble, so don’t miss what’s in store.
