The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) seems poised to fall hard for shady Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose). Will jealous Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) fight to prove that Nate’s new girlfriend is untrustworthy? Let’s consider what we know so far.
Although Elena claims to have made peace with the whole Nate situation, it’s obvious she still wants another chance. Deep down, Elena is holding out hope that maybe Nate will come around and they can still have a shot together.
That’s why it’ll be a crushing blow when Elena realizes Nate’s interested in someone else – namely Imani, Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) “friend.”
Imani and Amanda are keeping their half-sister status under wraps for now, but that could become quite important later.
In the meantime, Nate will likely ask Imani on a date if she doesn’t make her move first. Imani is a go-getter who just might ask Nate out instead! Either way, dating indeed seems to be in Imani and Nate’s future.
Elena will witness Nate and Imani’s growing connection, so she’ll realize she’s got some competition she didn’t see coming. Once Elena meets Imani, she may be suspicious right off the bat.
Nate’s too smitten to notice that Imani oozes shadiness, but Elena may see it from the start.
Y&R fans know Elena and Amanda are pals now, so we might see Amanda confide the news that Imani is her half-sibling. Amanda may eventually admit to having some concerns since she won’t want Nate to get hurt.
Imani can’t be trusted – and that’ll become increasingly clear to Amanda as time goes on. More family secrets will be revealed, so Amanda might worry about Imani’s agenda and the possibility that Nate’s heart will end up shattered.
Amanda could be a great source of info for Elena, who’ll have more than one motive to try and tear apart this new romance. Even putting Elena’s own desires for Nate aside, she’ll no doubt fret over Imani’s potential as a heartbreaker.
This could set up quite a rivalry between Elena and Imani, so some fun drama should be brewing over the summer.
Maybe Elena can prove Imani isn’t the amazing woman she seems to be – not with all the secrecy and questionable family loyalty she brings to the table.
