The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the next two weeks tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will get a shady Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) clue while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) shows signs of troubling behavior. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will also go after Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) payback, so here’s what viewers can expect.
During the week of August 9-13, Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) announcement will bring tears for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Phyllis was holding out hope that Summer would return home once Sally and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) were exposed, but Summer’s content with her job and will remain in Italy with Kyle.
Phyllis will take a little comfort in Sally getting fired, but she’ll still have to deal with some heartbreak.
We’ll see Phyllis in the same boat as bummed Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who’ll be losing his son in town as well.
As for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), he’ll do his best to lift Phyllis’ spirits and get her to focus on their daughter’s happiness.
Over with Ashland and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), they’ll get a surprising seal of approval on their engagement. Victor will be on board with their impending wedding, but some new info will change the game.
Victor will soon have a reason to be suspicious of Ashland, so he’ll look into the matter and hope to get to the bottom of things.
Ashland will also go up against Jack in the week ahead, so that may tie in with Kyle’s desire to take Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) to Italy.
It’d be unrealistic to think Ashland would go along with that idea right off the bat. Even if Ashland gets talked into it eventually, it’s sure to take some work and time.
On a video call, Chelsea will ask Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) if he wants to attend one of Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) lacrosse games together.
When Adam is receptive to the suggestion, Chelsea will get carried away with all kinds of plans for family outings.
Adam will pump the brakes since he’s not interested in a “Chadam” reunion – at least not at this point in the story.
Chelsea seems to be latching onto that reunion idea now, so this could lead to some manipulation as she works to get what she wants.
Next, a puzzling message will arrive for Abby Newman-Chancellor-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) – one that’s supposedly from Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will push Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to take another stab at finding out where Mariah is, but he’ll feel like she doesn’t want to be found.
Y&R fans will see a reunion between Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), but will it be real or in Mariah’s dream? Either way, Tessa and Mariah will share a tender moment in captivity together.
We’ll see if this is a fantasy to give Mariah strength or perhaps a situation where Tessa will join her as a hostage.
During the week of August 16-20, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will ask Denise Tolliver (Telma Hopkins) for assistance.
If this was for Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), it seems like Amanda would just ask for help herself. After all, Amanda has done it before!
Instead, Devon may want to put Denise’s PI skills to good use on Mariah’s case.
Denise might look for some leads on the missing surrogate – and she could dig for answers about Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) once he starts looking shady.
Over with Nick, he’ll try to keep Phyllis’ mind off Summer’s absence.
Nick and Phyllis will do what they do best and hit the sheets, but they’ll find a way to keep things interesting this time around.
As for Victor, he’ll take charge of a situation.
This might involve those Ashland suspicions we mentioned and perhaps another plea for Rey’s help. Rey turned down Victor’s private security firm job, but he might agree to do some work on the side.
Maybe Rey will look into Ashland for Victor and see what he can uncover for Victoria’s sake.
After Sally forms an alliance with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), she’ll realize she’s found a major foe in Summer’s grandma.
Nikki will go after Sally as payback for what she did to Summer, so look for Sally to become a target once again.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the next two weeks will bring some twists and turns for several Genoa City residents, so stay tuned.
