The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) may fall for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and deliver a new love match after her Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) breakup. Could Noah and Elena become a hot couple in Genoa City? Let’s consider the clues and see if a fresh Y&R love story might be brewing.
For starters, Noah confessed someone broke his heart in London. He met another artist that he really connected with and thought they had something special. Unfortunately, this woman didn’t feel the same way. She dumped Noah without a second thought and immediately moved on with someone else.
Now Noah’s feeling lost and will eventually need a new love to pursue. Noah had some nice moments of reconnection with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) during the wedding in Tuscany, but that was about renewing a friendship. Tessa is gay and fully committed to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Besides, Tessa admitted she came to town looking for a Newman to marry and found it easy to pretend to love Noah since he was so sweet. She had a whole plan to grow apart and score a piece of the Newman fortune in the divorce, so the idea of a Noah and Tessa reunion has never been a good one.
What Noah really needs is a new beginning with someone he’s never been with before. Elena could easily be that person for Noah.
Although Elena and Nate’s relationship has been moving along nicely, it’s not all that strong and could fall apart just as fast. We’ve already seen some cracks in that romance since Elena isn’t entirely comfortable dating her boss.
When Nate got promoted at the hospital, it changed things a bit. Elena is working herself to the point of exhaustion – mostly because she can’t bear the thought of handing off extra shifts and having people think Nate’s doing her special favors.
It’s clear that Elena can’t keep up such a draining work schedule forever. Nate has been understanding whenever Elena has to crash instead of spending time with him, but he’s probably not happy about it deep down. It could become a barrier to growing closer in the long run.
That brings us to some intriguing scenes in the October 28 episode.
Elena has a random encounter with Noah at Crimson Lights that screams chemistry test if you ask us. The show seems to be testing the waters on an Elena and Noah pairing – just in case they end up waiting to go there with these two.
Noah and Elena would look awfully pretty together. Not to mention they’d have the adorable ship name of Noel!
There’s potential in letting Elena and Noah fall for each other, so it’ll be interesting to see if that’s the story direction Y&R goes in.
