The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) may volunteer as a sperm donor for Tessa Porter’s (Cait Fairbanks) baby – leaving Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and her girlfriend at odds over whether to accept the offer.
Tessa recently decided she was more willing to consider a family addition – and it turns out that wasn’t just talk. She was serious about moving forward with baby plans, so Mariah will be taken aback when Tessa revisits the topic during the week of December 20-24.
Since Tessa was so hesitant before, Mariah will be a little uneasy over this sudden about-face. She ultimately realized she was pressuring Tessa and doesn’t want that to be how they start their family together.
This has to be something they both want, so Mariah will hope that’s true for Tessa as much as her. Fortunately, Tessa has given this a lot of thought and will reveal she’s prepared to take the next step toward parenthood with Mariah.
Y&R spoilers say that should be music to Mariah’s ears since she so desperately wants a child. Mariah and Tessa just have to decide how exactly they’ll bring a kid into the world.
Tessa will throw adoption into the mix as an option, but that may or may not be something Mariah’s on board with. Mariah might prefer for one of them to have a biological connection to the baby.
Since it’s still too soon for Mariah to get pregnant again, that means Tessa would have to carry their child if adoption gets nixed.
Of course, there might be a way for Mariah to have a bit of a biological connection as well – a way that could make this storyline incredibly messy!
What if Noah volunteers as a sperm donor – much like Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) offered to be the sperm donor for Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway)?
Noah likes to pretend he’s completely on Team “Teriah,” so he might suggest he could donate sperm for Tessa’s pregnancy. That’d make it so Mariah would have biological ties on some level through her brother fathering Tessa’s child.
Mariah would probably love that idea, but it would inevitably be weird for Tessa. That’s especially true since even Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) can see that Noah still has feelings for his ex.
Deep down, Noah might start to imagine that Tessa having his baby could pull her back in his direction.
Tessa may think it could get too complicated with Noah as part of all this, so there might be another round of baby conflict brewing.
This is the kind of thing that could lead to Mariah and Tessa adopting after all, so we’ll see where the storyline goes from here.
