The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) could lose Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) by reigniting some Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) passion. Will Phyllis’ dangerous Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) game end in a cheating disaster?
Y&R fans know Phyllis just can’t stop butting in Jack’s business. Jack has warned Phyllis repeatedly to back off, but she feels the need to protect him from treacherous Sally and the next round of heartbreak.
To be fair, Phyllis is right that Sally can’t be trusted and will inevitably hurt Jack again. However, Jack is a grown man who can make his own decisions – even if they’re bad ones.
It’s not Phyllis’ place to make Jack’s choices for him, but she’ll keep trying to do it anyway.
Since Phyllis’ previous tactics weren’t working, she’s opting to try a new one where she acts needy and leans on Jack for comfort.
Phyllis is using their strong friendship to manipulate Jack, which seems awfully risky considering how easy it could be to stir up old feelings.
During a conversation recently, Phyllis brought up Nick at one point and tried to reflect on some issues they’d worked through.
It was strange for Jack to be uncomfortable with the topic, but he was quick to point out he had no interest in hearing about Phyllis’ relationship with Nick.
What’s up with Jack suddenly being so against discussing “Phick”? That may be a writing choice to set the stage for another round of “Phack”!
If Jack is jealous on some level, that could certainly be a factor in the storyline that’s brewing with Sally.
By stealing Jack’s time and attention, Phyllis could be heading into risky territory. Will Nick get neglected as Phyllis focuses on keeping Jack away from Sally?
Nick has been in Italy helping Summer Newman (Hunter King) get settled, but he’ll return to Genoa City soon. Once that happens, it could create some complications.
Phyllis is always going to be drawn to Jack as her former flame – and the same goes for Jack being drawn to Phyllis.
Although Phyllis’ goal right now is to stop Sally from sinking her hooks into Jack again, it may be Phyllis who inadvertently seduces him instead.
Phyllis may fall back in love with Jack in the process or at least battle some revived desires.
Once Sally’s latest scheme against Summer is exposed, Jack may turn against her for good. He could also lean on Phyllis in the aftermath and perhaps even fall into bed with her!
Whatever the case, Phyllis’ plan seems like it could build to temptation and catastrophe!
