The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) could end up in a fight to the death. Will a tragic outcome follow Tara’s Summer Newman (Hunter King) scheme exposure?
There have been some hints that Tara might not make it out of her story arc alive. For starters, Summer has exited the canvas and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is set to make an exit of his own down the road.
Tara is just part of Kyle and Summer’s story, so there’s really no need to keep her around – or alive for that matter!
Tara would be an easy character to kill off for shock value, especially since it could pave the way for Summer taking over as Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) sole mother figure.
If Tara ends up dead and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) dies as well, that’ll certainly simplify the custody situation for Kyle and Summer. “Skyle” can reunite and raise Harrison in Italy without any problems.
However, that’s not the only reason to think Tara might suffer a grim fate.
There was also that conversation with Jack last month where the show seemingly set up a comparison between Tara and deceased Diane Jenkins (Maura West). It seemed like a clue that Tara might die like Diane did.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) killed Diane in self-defense, so what if Phyllis lands in a similar situation with Tara?
Could Phyllis also have to kill Tara in self-defense?
Tara certainly has some surprising shades of crazy under the surface that are just waiting to come out. Things could get intense and go off the rails as this storyline heats up.
Phyllis will take the “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” approach in the coming weeks. Phyllis will form a fake friendship with Tara and hope she can figure out what she’s hiding.
It looks like Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will help Phyllis scheme against Tara, so there’s the potential for major trouble here.
The situation could easily get out of hand once Tara’s backed into a corner.
