The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Monday, February 1, tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will summon Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to Newman Enterprises, where he’ll urge them to make themselves available for a family dinner and to heal the rift between them.
After Victor goes, Victoria will apologize to Nick for her treatment of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Nick won’t be satisfied, and he’ll want Victoria to head over to the Grand Phoenix and apologize to Phyllis.
Victoria will oblige, and Phyllis will half-accept the apology, noting that it’s a good performance on Victoria’s part.
Meanwhile, at the Chancellor mansion, both Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will have doctor appointments to get the ball rolling on a pregnancy.
After her appointment, Mariah will tell Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) that her health looks good, but later Chance will come back from his doctor appointment and he’ll be glum.
Chance will say that he’s unable to have a child right now due to low sperm count. Chance will be beside himself with grief, and he’ll say that while this condition may revert itself, he can’t give Abby a child right now.
Abby and Chance will have a long talk, and they’ll be determined to have a family and to love their children no matter how they have them.
Chance will want some time to himself, so Abby will head off to Society. Right after Abby leaves, Chance’s phone will ring. “This is Detective Chancellor,” Chance will say. “I was wondering when you’d finally catch up with me.”
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Devon will wake up together, and Devon will wonder if Elena wants to talk about what happened last night.
Elena won’t want to talk, and she’ll leave hurriedly. Elena will then bump into Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at Crimson Lights, where she’ll explain that she got stuck in the storm and hurry off.
Nate will wonder what’s up with Elena, and soon Devon will come along. Nate will want to talk about the email from Moses Winters (Dax Randall) saying that he’s coming sooner than expected. Devon will be relieved that Nate doesn’t know about his night with Elena.
Elena will then head over to Society, where she’ll talk with Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) in the kitchen. Lola will hear about what Elena and Devon did last night, and she’ll advise Elena to stop thinking about what’s right for Devon and Nate and to think about herself.
“What do you want?” Lola will ask. Elena will think she knows what she needs to do.
Elena will head back to Devon’s penthouse, where she’ll ask Devon to talk. Elena will say that she will always be grateful for the time they had together and that she loved Devon, but that they can’t go backwards.
Devon will be on the same page, and together he and Elena will decide to keep their evening together to themselves and not to tell Nate or Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Over at Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) house, Sharon and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will establish that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) had Jordan (Madison Thompson) over last night without asking permission.
Sharon will tell Rey that she’s decided to treat Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), which won’t thrill Rey, but he’ll accept it.
After Sharon goes, Rey will find something in the couch cushion – it will be the lid to a vodka bottle. Meanwhile, over at Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) penthouse, Adam will tell Chelsea that Sharon’s coming over.
Chelsea will internally fume, telling herself that now Adam gets to be close to Sharon.
Later, Sharon will arrive for her first session with Chelsea and Adam will give them some privacy. To herself, Chelsea will think that she wants Sharon where she can keep an eye on her, and that Sharon has always wanted Adam.
When Sharon goes to leave, Chelsea will imagine Adam and Sharon kissing.
After a while, Adam will reassure Chelsea, telling her that perhaps she should channel her frustration and rage to get better. After Adam goes into the other room, Chelsea will wiggle her fingers.
Back at Sharon’s house, Sharon will come home to the horrible news that Rey found a vodka bottle cap in the couch. Sharon will say that she’s never bought that brand of vodka, and that Faith and Jordan must have been drinking last night.
Sharon will call Nick, who will arrive in short order. Nick won’t want to believe that Faith drank in the house, and he’ll want to talk with Faith first.
Sharon will assume that Faith has been drinking this whole time, and she’ll insist on calling her friend who’s a therapist. Soon, the therapist will arrive and agree to treat Faith when Faith’s ready.
Nick will basically push the therapist out the door, and Sharon will be horrified, blasting Nick afterwards. Nick won’t want to risk having Faith shut them out completely, noting that there’s more than one way to lose a child.
