The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Thursday, December 7, tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will drop by Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse angry and frustrated over Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) standing her up. Devon will offer his comfort, and Amanda will only be able to hope that Naya will have a change of heart.
Meanwhile, at Chancellor Communications, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will fume at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) over reporters harassing him for comments on Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).
Adam will insinuate that Billy’s the reason for Chelsea’s condition, which will lead Billy to realize that Adam’s the one who cut the power in the building, leading to Chelsea’s fall.
Adam will appeal to Lily, saying that he doesn’t want Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) to know about Chelsea’s condition. After Adam leaves, Billy and Lily will argue over doing a story on Chelsea, and Amanda will come in and side with Lily on the matter.
Lily will tell Billy he’s obsessed with Adam, and Billy will storm out mad. Later, Devon will arrive, and Lily will share about her disagreement with Billy.
At the Grand Phoenix, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will be packing in her suite to go to Los Angeles to dig up dirt on Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Summer will want Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to go with her, but Kyle will balk, saying that perhaps the trip isn’t such a good idea.
Over at Jabot, Sally and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will share “war stories” about their past debacles and mistakes, including Sally’s food fight with Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in Los Angeles.
Jack and Sally will talk and laugh happily, and later Summer will arrive and talk with Jack, realizing that Sally’s gotten to him. Summer will be dismayed.
Meanwhile, Sally will see Kyle in the lobby of the Grand Phoenix, and Sally will turn on the charm, clearly working Kyle. Kyle will see through this, as Sally goes on about how it takes visualization and planning to get what one wants. Kyle will be unsettled by the exchange.
At Adam’s penthouse, Adam and Chelsea will converse with Adam talking and Chelsea blinking to communicate. Soon, Dr. Lena Cavett (Dana Sparks) will arrive, and she’ll explain to Chelsea that she’ll be overseeing Chelsea’s physical therapy.
After some tests, Dr. Cavett will leave, and Adam will supportively tell Chelsea that they will get through this together.
Soon, Connor will call Adam, and he’ll want to talk to Chelsea. Adam will tell Connor that his mom is sleeping and that she’ll call when she wakes up. Chelsea will look horrified.
Meanwhile, over at Society, Jack and Billy will talk at the bar. Billy will lament about how he can’t let his hatred for Adam go, and he’ll say that it’s getting in the way of something he doesn’t want to lose.
After Billy goes, Sally will walk into the restaurant, and she’ll spy Jack at the bar. Sally’s sister Coco Spectra (Courtney Grosbeck) will call wondering how things are going for Sally. Sally will say that things are going surprisingly well as she looks across the room at Jack.
Back at the Grand Phoenix, Lily will arrive at Billy’s suite, and they’ll each start apologizing to each other profusely. Billy will admit that he has a blind spot when it comes to Adam and that it needs to stop.
Billy will sincerely profess no more stories on Adam, and Lily will wonder if they’ll be able to navigate a working/personal relationship. Billy will think they can.
Down in the lobby, Summer and Kyle will regroup, and Summer will tell Kyle that Jack has been totally taken in by Sally. Kyle will share his earlier unnerving conversation with Sally, and he’ll tell Summer that he’s coming to Los Angeles with her – to find out who the real Sally is.
Up in Amanda’s suite, Amanda will call Naya again and leave a voicemail saying that she knows it’s a confusing time but that she’d just like to talk. Suddenly, there will be a knock on the door, and it will be Amanda’s half-sister Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose). “Leave my mother alone!” Imani will bellow.
Finally, back at Devon’s penthouse, Devon will sleep on the couch, then he’ll awaken to see who he thinks is Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) standing in the room, but it will turn out to be Amanda. Amanda will take off her blouse, and Devon will wake up in a start, with it all having been a dream.
