The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Thursday, February 4, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will get a visit at the Chancellor mansion from Nina Webster (Tricia Cast).
Abby will share with Nina that Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) had been gone all night, and that she’s worried about him.
Nina will say that Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) is on her way over, and Abby will immediately realize that something’s very wrong. Once there, Christine will tell Abby and Nina that Chance went away on an undercover mission and that she can’t say where he is, but that he wrote each of them letters.
Once Christine goes, Nina and Abby will read their letters, and Chance will explain that he can’t tell them where he’s going, but that he had to say yes. Chance’s letter to Abby will urge her to continue to keep building their family without him there and that he can’t wait to be a parent with her.
Chance’s letter to Nina will ask her to look after Abby and her grandchild for him.
Abby will be upset, but Nina will urge her to continue on with plans for having a baby. Eventually, Abby will decide that Nina’s right, and she’ll ask Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to come over.
After explaining the situation to Mariah, Mariah will indicate that she’s still on board, and Abby and Nina will be thrilled.
At Chancellor Communications, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will arrive to talk with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be around, and so Victoria will suggest that they go to breakfast and talk.
Over at Crimson Lights, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will be having breakfast on the patio.
After a brief hello to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), Elena will drift off lost in thought, but she’ll brush it off as nothing, then she’ll suggest that they go on that romantic getaway that Nate’s been wanting to take her on.
Nate will go to leave, and he’ll bump into Devon on his way out. Devon will then go talk with Elena, and Nate will briefly return and spot Devon and Elena together. Devon and Elena will talk about their night together, reiterating that they’re not going to tell anyone about it.
At Society, Billy and Victoria will talk. Victoria will be back to hot and cold with Billy, first telling him that she’s been jealous of Lily’s great relationship with the kids and that she’s sorry, then insisting that Lily not spend time around the kids.
Victoria will wonder what will happen when Billy and Lily split up, and she’ll insist that Billy needs to be sure about Lily before getting the kids into their relationship.
Later, Elena and Nate will enjoy margaritas at Society and Nate will say that he cleared their schedules and booked them on a flight to a tropical getaway. Nate will gush that it will be perfect and just the two of them with no distractions. Elena will say that’s exactly what she wants.
Back at Chancellor Communications, Amanda and Lily will discuss the recent tension between Victoria and Billy. Amanda will share what she knows about Victoria and Billy’s past relationship problems – specifically, how Billy never felt like he measured up to what Victoria wanted.
Lily will muse that it must be strange for Victoria to see the changes in Billy now.
Billy will return from his outing with Lily, and he’ll share Victoria’s perspective that Lily shouldn’t be in the kids’ lives. Lily will say that she’s ok backing away if it’s the right thing to do, and Billy will say that the alternative is that the kids could end up thinking that he and Victoria are getting back together.
As Billy and Lily are talking, Billy will blurt out that he thinks Lily is “the one” and that this is the real deal. Lily will be startled, but she’ll say that she believes they’re the real deal, too.
Over at Newman Enterprises, Victoria will learn from the nanny that Billy’s spending time with the kids this afternoon. Victoria will cancel her afternoon appointment so she can drop the kids off personally.
At the Grand Phoenix, Devon will catch up with Amanda. Amanda will ask Devon what happened while she was gone in New York. Devon will look a little uncomfortable, but he’ll say nothing happened.
Amanda will share that she got some texts from Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) and that she’s thinking about trying to get together with Naya.
Finally, Devon will tell Amanda that he missed talking with her while she was gone. Amanda will mention something offhandedly about telling Devon secrets and about Devon sharing his secrets. Devon will laugh nervously.
