The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 26, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will talk over their options at the Chancellor mansion.
Abby will have done a bunch of research and she’ll present either adoption or surrogacy as their main choices. Chance will think they should go with their hearts.
Abby will ultimately say that she wants to go with surrogacy, and Chance will be right along with her.
After some talk about their respective childhoods, Abby and Chance will decide that it would be ideal to get a surrogate they know and trust. Abby will get an idea, and she’ll say that she thinks she knows the perfect person.
At Society, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will meet, but Faith will brush Phyllis off.
Phyllis will try to make nice with Faith, but Faith won’t be having it, and soon Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will show up saying that her trip with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) got postponed due to weather.
Nikki will sit down with Faith, and Faith will go off on Nikki, saying that Nikki just wants to lecture her on the evils of drinking. Faith will then get sarcastic and rant about how everyone’s acting like she’s stupid and a lost cause. Faith will run off to the bathroom, and Nikki will tell Nick that she should be the one to talk with Faith.
Later, Faith will emerge from the bathroom as she texts Jordan (Madison Thompson) saying that her family is making her crazy. Nikki will gently take Faith outside while Phyllis and Nick stay inside, and Phyllis urges Nick to give Faith gentle guidance and not to keep her on too tight a leash.
Outside, Nikki will tell Faith that she understands how difficult it is to be young and misunderstood. Nikki will tell Faith that things will get better, but that her genetic predisposition for alcoholism shouldn’t be ignored.
Faith will respond well to Nikki, who will promise not to judge her ever. Faith will go back inside, while Nikki takes off.
Inside Faith will apologize to Nick, who will tell her not to apologize for her feelings but that she needs to be more respectful and polite. Nick will say that he just cares about protecting Faith, and Faith will note that she’s growing up and sometimes she’ll mess up.
Faith will ask to start the night over again, and Nick and Phyllis will happily agree.
At the Grand Phoenix, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will meet Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) in the lobby, but she’ll say that she can’t make dinner with him tonight.
Amanda will explain that she needs to pack for her trip in the morning with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Devon will offer the use of his jet for the trip, which Amanda will happily accept.
However, Amanda won’t want Devon to come with her on the trip, saying that she doesn’t want to mix business and pleasure. Devon and Amanda will get a little flirty, and Devon will say that he wants to see where this goes, noting that they haven’t even shared a first kiss yet.
Amanda will say that she wants to kiss Devon…at some point.
After a bit more conversation, Amanda will head upstairs to pack for her trip. Devon will send her a text saying to let him know when she returns from her trip. Amanda will send back a “kiss” emoji and smile.
At Chancellor Communications, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Lily, Johnny Abbott (Ryan and Holden Hare), and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) will be playing putt putt and having a great time when Victoria walks in.
Victoria will tell all about her trip being postponed, and the kids will announce that they want to have pizza at the house.
Lily and Billy will decide to have a nightcap later, and Billy will go with Victoria and the kids to Victoria’s place. There, the kids will announce that they like Lily, which will irk Victoria.
While the kids are out of the room, Billy will wonder if it bothers Victoria that he took the kids to work. Victoria will play innocent.
Victoria will ask if Billy is the one questioning what he wants, but Billy will say that he’s in a good place, and that he wants all of them to be in a good place together.
Later, Billy will meet Lily at the Grand Phoenix for a drink, and he’ll tell Lily that it could take Victoria some time to ultimately be ok with her spending time with the kids.
