The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 9, tease that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will enjoy dinner together at Society as they discuss the fact that a third prospective buyer has emerged for Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) media company.
Billy and Lily will wonder who the third buyer – aside from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) – is.
Billy will then get a call from Ashland saying that he’s coming to Genoa City to meet with all three competitors for the company. Lily and Billy will consider that the third contender could be Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) or Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) from Los Angeles.
Lily will wonder if it could be Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but Billy won’t want to think about that possibility.
Meanwhile, over at Devon’s penthouse, Devon will nearly text someone several times, but he’ll think better of it.
Devon will then head over to the Chancellor mansion, where he’ll find Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) discussing Abby’s egg harvesting, which will soon take place.
Devon will open up to Abby while Ashely is out of the room about his situation with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). Abby will listen to the whole tale about Devon’s relationship with Amanda and his tryst with Elena during the ice storm.
At the end of the conversation, Devon will say that he now knows what he needs to do.
At the Grand Phoenix, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will tell Summer Newman (Hunter King) that he never told Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about his son because Jack was canoodling with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Kyle will say that he’s going to walk away from his son, and Summer will fully support Kyle in his decision. Summer will suggest that she and Kyle go forget about the situation for a while.
At Crimson Lights, Jack and Sally will return from ice skating and settle in on the patio, where Sally will hear about Jack’s family’s skating traditions.
Sally will mention that Kyle seemed upset last night when he interrupted them, and Jack will say that he thinks that Kyle’s problem has to do with New York. Sally will play dumb.
Sally and Jack will discuss Jack’s past relationship with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Sally will be complimenting and gushing over Jack when Summer and Kyle walk into the main part of the coffeehouse.
Summer and Kyle won’t be happy to see Sally and Jack beaming at each other and Jack will notice, but he’ll say that he doesn’t care.
Jack will then lean in for a kiss from Sally, which Summer and Kyle will see. Summer will suggest that she and Kyle go back to the hotel, and as they leave, Jack will tell Sally that the kiss was everything that he hoped for and more.
Back at Devon’s penthouse, Devon will return home and gaze at both Amanda’s and Elena’s names on his phone. Devon will text Elena asking if they can get together and talk. “I’d love to,” Elena will reply.
