The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Wednesday, February 17, tease that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will decide to cut their tropical vacation short.
Nate will know that nothing about Elena sleeping with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was malicious, but he’ll tell Elena that he wants 100% of her heart, and that he doesn’t think she can give that right now. Nate will hope things will work out for them eventually.
Meanwhile, back in Genoa City, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will fix breakfast for herself and Devon at the penthouse, but she’ll be distracted because Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) texted and wants to meet.
Devon will think that Amanda should give Naya a chance, and later once Amanda’s gone, Devon will reminisce about kissing Elena.
At Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) house, Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will refuse to let Sharon take her to school, saying that she has another ride. Sharon will wonder if it’s Jordan (Madison Thompson), but Faith will say it’s someone else.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will arrive as Sharon’s rushing out to go catch Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) at Crimson Lights.
Meanwhile, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will have words with Rey at Crimson Lights, and the men will be bickering in typical fashion when Sharon walks in and breaks it up.
Sharon will want to talk privately with Rey, who will refuse to talk as long as Adam’s there. Sharon will blurt out that she’s no longer treating Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), but Rey will say that won’t fix the core problem.
After Rey leaves, Sharon and Adam will talk about their kiss, and Adam will insist that he didn’t say anything to Rey about it. Sharon will ask Adam to stay away from her and let her be happy, just as Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) walks in.
Mariah will blast her mother for agreeing to treat Chelsea in the first place.
As Sharon’s leaving, Nick will walk in, and he’ll hear from Mariah that Rey and Sharon are having problems because of Adam, and that Adam is succeeding at coming between Sharon and Rey.
Out on the patio, Naya and Amanda will meet for coffee, and Naya will want to hear more about Amanda – how she was raised and what her childhood was like.
Amanda will be bristly, saying that she only talks about that with people she knows well and that they should start with how Naya’s parents raised her.
As Amanda and Naya continue to talk, it will become clear that Naya wants a relationship with Amanda, but that she wants to do it in secret and hide it from her “real” family.
Amanda won’t like this, saying that it’s self-serving and that she can’t do it. Amanda will walk out of the coffeehouse, leaving Naya sitting there upset.
Back inside Crimson Lights, Elena will arrive for coffee and bump into Devon, who will wonder why she’s back from her trip. Elena will explain that she and Nate cut their trip short, and that Nate figured out that she and Devon slept together.
Elena will say that she doesn’t know what’s going to happen with her and Nate, and that she’s going to search her heart and figure out what she really wants.
At Adam’s penthouse, Nick will arrive to find Chelsea in the living room in her wheelchair. Nick will tell Chelsea to fight to get better, and just then Adam will walk in, upset to find Nick there.
Nick will tell Adam that he came here to tell him to stay away from Sharon. Inwardly, Chelsea will urge Nick to continue blasting Adam.
When Nick tells Adam that he’s a narcissist and that he can’t handle seeing Sharon happy, Chelsea will worry that Adam and Sharon are having an affair. Adam will walk over to Chelsea, telling her that he merely ran into Sharon at Crimson Lights this morning.
Chelsea will think Adam is lying. After Nick goes, Chelsea will inwardly express her disgust with Adam and how she thinks he’s pursuing Sharon.
Back at Sharon’s house, Sharon will gaze at pictures of herself and Rey, and she’ll text Rey several times before reminiscing about her kiss with Adam. Sharon’s phone will ring, and she’ll answer and say, “What? Is Faith ok? I’m on my way,” before rushing out the door.
At Society, Rey will seek out Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) for a talk about him and Sharon. Rey will explain about how Adam is coming between him and Sharon, and how Sharon is continually drawn to Adam.
Lola will think that Sharon is drawn to Adam the way their mother was always drawn back to their father. That won’t make Rey feel any better.
At the Grand Phoenix, Nate will bump into Amanda as he’s booking a room. Nate will explain that he’s back from his trip and that there’s too much construction noise at his home for sleeping.
Later, Amanda will meet up with Devon and share about her earlier meeting with Naya, saying that she doesn’t know where to go from here with her bio mom.
