The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will bond at the bar, so a dangerous connection will grow as love gets complicated in Genoa City.
Chelsea wants to patch things up with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and put their family back together, but she’s not having any luck so far. Adam feels like too much has happened between them and just isn’t willing to move forward with Chelsea romantically.
That could certainly change down the road, but Chelsea will struggle in the meantime. Of course, there was another victim when Chelsea schemed to frame Adam for attempted murder.
Rey’s the one who got poisoned, but he’s forgiven Chelsea and genuinely wants to see her build a better life without Adam.
We also know Rey will become increasingly uncomfortable over how Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) interacts with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).
Rey will always worry about Sharon’s bond with Adam, but he’ll perhaps start to view Nick as more of a threat to his marriage.
There’ll be some messy feelings to contend with, so that may be part of why Chelsea and Rey are able to connect during the week of December 27-31.
Rey will run into Chelsea at Society, where they’ll both mosey up to the bar for a chat.
Y&R fans can expect some smiles and maybe even a spark that leads to a little flirting.
The fact that Rey can get over what Chelsea did will continue to amaze her, particularly since Adam can’t do the same.
As for Rey, he may not confide his concerns about Nick and Sharon at this point. That’s especially true since Rey may not want to admit those concerns to himself just yet.
Even so, it’s interesting that the show’s going to give Rey and Chelsea some private bonding scenes.
It could set the stage for things to take a romantic turn between Chelsea and Rey eventually, so that’s something to keep an eye on.
