The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will face a serious crisis in their marriage, which is obviously still quite new.
Sharon just tied the knot with Rey on New Year’s Eve, so they skipped over the blissful period that usually follows a wedding. Instead, Sharon and Rey could be on the verge of calling it quits.
After Rey sees a photo of the kiss Sharon shared with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), it’ll understandably leave Rey hurt and engaged. Rey warned Sharon to stay away from Adam, but she ran off to kiss him within the hour.
That’s not the response Rey was hoping to get when he laid down the law about Sharon’s ex!
However, Rey’s been through a lot with Sharon and really does love her. He also feels like Adam is a toxic lowlife that Sharon’s never been able to shake. Rey wants better for Sharon, so that may play a role in what Rey does next.
Despite this betrayal, Rey will still believe Sharon deserves more than a guy like Adam. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sharon will face a difficult decision during the week of March 1-5. What decision will that be?
Could Rey deliver one last ultimatum in an attempt to save his marriage?
Rey already tried forbidding Sharon from seeing Adam, but that clearly didn’t work. Sharon previously insisted Adam would move away from Genoa City after Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) got better, but Rey has zero faith in that happening. If anyone’s going to move, it’ll have to be Sharon.
Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is having a terrible time at her current school and could use a fresh start, so that might be something Rey points out. Perhaps Rey will argue that Faith could go back to boarding school or maybe come with them for a new beginning somewhere.
Miami makes the most sense considering Rey’s family lives there. Rey might argue that if Sharon truly wants to save their marriage – if she truly loves Rey and not Adam – then she’ll move to Miami.
From Rey’s perspective, the only way to salvage this may be putting physical distance between Adam and Sharon.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) knows Faith is struggling, so it wouldn’t be too hard to get him to agree that Genoa City isn’t the best place for Faith anymore.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is an adult, so Rey may think visits to Miami will be plenty of mother-daughter time for Mariah and Sharon.
Rey might contend that Sharon can either stay in Genoa City with Adam or move to Miami with him. Moving might be Rey’s condition on saving this marriage. It makes sense under the circumstances, especially since we’ve got Y&R spoilers about Sharon’s difficult decision.
If Sharon’s the one making this choice, it suggests Rey’s ultimatum – and it’ll have to be a firmer one than just “don’t see Adam anymore.” Rey tried that and it accomplished nothing, so moving across the country might be his only solution.
Sharon might even get on board with a Miami move initially, but the plan would inevitably fall through.
There’s no sign of Sharon going anywhere at all, so a moving decision would simply be for drama’s sake – just like when Y&R acted like Adam and Chelsea would be moving away.
Sharon and Rey’s marriage seems destined to fail, so she may turn down his ultimatum and force Rey to divorce her. As other Y&R news and updates come in, we’ll keep you in the loop.
