The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) may try again – giving Sally one last chance at love with the man she wants. However, Sally will have some new Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) secrets, which could serve as a ticking time bomb to blow things up all over again.
During the week of June 28-July 2, Sally will deliver a special invitation to Jack. We have to believe there’s a reason why Y&R’s keeping Sally in Jack’s orbit. If there was no hope left for Sally and Jack as a couple, wouldn’t the show just move on?
It just doesn’t seem like there’d be any point in watching Sally embarrass herself with rejections if they weren’t building somewhere. Perhaps Sally’s eventually going to wear Jack down and convince him to get their romance back on track.
Of course, Sally might try a different tactic to get there. She could easily start by focusing on friendship and work her way back to romantic status.
Sally may impress Jack by stepping up for Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) at JCV after Summer leaves her in a lurch. Lauren will really be in crisis mode, so Sally may swoop in and save the day.
Jack won’t know Sally shares a huge chunk of blame in Summer’s decision to leave JCV behind, so he may think Sally’s just doing what needs to be done. Sally’s work ethic and devotion to Lauren’s company could score her some points.
As for this invitation Sally’s set to offer, that could be something as simple as having another cup of coffee or some sort of event in town. Either way, Jack might be tempted to accept the invite and open his heart back up to Sally just a crack.
This could lead to Sally and Jack having a real relationship if the tension continues to thaw. Unfortunately, Sally has a very familiar problem since she’s once again keeping secrets that could blow up in her face.
You’d think Sally would’ve learned her lesson by now, but she could be setting her second-chance romance up to fail, too! Will Jack fall for Sally again – only to realize she drove Summer out of town through a job offer she arranged?
Will Sally lose her final shot at Jack love when it’s revealed that she’s been plotting with Tara?
