The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that the CBS soap is gearing up for a major casting change. Alyvia Alyn Lind recently made her final appearance as Faith Newman, so that’ll pave the way for Reylynn Caster’s debut in the role.
Caster will first appear as Faith starting Monday, April 12 – and a new interview offers fans their first glimpse in a sneak peek video.
Caster spoke with KWCH 12 Eyewitness News, so the Wichita native had a chance to open up about her new Y&R role. There was also a brief clip of Caster in the part, so let’s talk about that first.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Monday’s episode will bring a long-awaited confrontation between Faith and Jordan (Madison Thompson), her former “friend.”
Of course, Faith now knows Jordan was never much of a friend at all. Jordan took advantage of the fact that Faith was lonely, hurting and vulnerable. She made it seem like she was Faith’s savior and only source of comfort.
In reality, Jordan just enjoyed dragging Faith into trouble – and when Faith no longer cooperated, Jordan turned on her in no time.
That led to Jordan pretending to be Faith’s secret admirer and setting a dangerous series of events in motion. The humiliation led Faith to drink and drive, so she could’ve died due to the accident that followed.
Jordan will decide to stop by the cottage and offer Faith an apology, but Faith will want Jordan to save it!
From where Faith’s standing, this apology won’t be a sincere one. “You’re making this all about yourself as usual,” Faith insists in this first-glimpse video.
Jordan will try to make some form of peace with Faith, but it’ll be too little, too late as far as Faith is concerned. Faith will blow up at Jordan for her bullying betrayal, so it’ll be nice to see her stand up for herself and let Jordan know how much damage she caused.
There’s another short clip of Faith with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), so viewers will be able to see some mother-daughter moments with Caster in the part. In the interview portion of the video, Caster talked about mostly doing comedic roles after her move to LA.
Caster’s excited to be tackling some drama again and loves the fact that there’s always so much going on in Genoa City.
“There’s so much happening constantly. It’s so fun. Every time I read an episode, I’m like, ‘Oh! OK, now this is happening,’” Caster said with a laugh. “So that’s really cool.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Faith will focus on rehab therapy and finding a way forward – no doubt with a little help from Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) eventually.
