The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will likely change her mind about her recent re-engagement to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
It was Summer’s idea to resume their marriage plans, but Kyle was completely on board. Summer and Kyle agreed not to rush this, so they’re just going to keep their back-on engagement under wraps for now.
Of course, that’s probably a good idea considering this engagement seems doomed! Summer already broke Kyle’s heart by bailing on him before their last attempt to elope. Summer’s fears about Kyle drifting back toward Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) got in the way, so Kyle was devastated.
Now it’s Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) who’ll be on Summer’s mind – leaving her troubled about a reunion between Kyle and his former flame. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will fuel Summer’s insecurities, so that could mean making Summer believe Kyle’s cheating again.
It could also mean convincing Summer that Kyle would be better off having a family with Tara and Harrison Locke. Sally is a troublemaker at her core and will no doubt find a way to turn Summer against Kyle in the coming episodes.
Kyle seems poised to sabotage himself as well since Summer insisted they could get through anything as long as Kyle didn’t lie to her.
That was a huge anvil about Kyle lying down the road – perhaps trying to wiggle out of whatever jam Sally and even Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) throw at him.
Whatever the case, Y&R fans can expect Kyle’s world to implode sooner or later. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will likely call off the engagement – and she may declare it’s for good this time!
It’s easy to imagine Summer feeling like she can’t keep signing up for round after round of heartache.
Summer may decide that she can’t trust Kyle enough and warn that he can’t be her husband. Kyle may realize he’s blown it to the extreme and worry that they’re over forever.
Summer and Kyle certainly still have a shot at a future together, but things could look gloomy in the meantime!
