The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) may come clean to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and make sure her mom returns to Genoa City on a mission for revenge on Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Let’s talk about the vengeful next chapter Y&R writers might have in mind.
Phyllis shows up for a surprise visit to Italy starting July 9 and will plan to have breakfast with Summer the following morning. It’ll be Phyllis’ way of helping with the transition, but she’ll still feel like Summer is holding back.
It’s breaking Phyllis’ heart to know Summer has turned her whole life upside down and won’t even reveal why.
Summer is excited about her new job at Marchetti and is trying to stay hopeful about finding happiness in the future. Even so, Phyllis knows how much Summer loved Kyle and doesn’t think this abrupt Italy move makes sense.
We all know how persistent Phyllis can be, so could she pry the truth out of her daughter?
Summer might admit Tara threatened to take Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) away from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) unless she dumped him.
Tara also demanded that Summer take this new creative director position, so that’s some news that Phyllis would certainly like to hear.
Even if Summer doesn’t make a full confession, she might let something slip that tips Phyllis off to the truth anyway.
By the time Phyllis returns to Genoa City, she’ll at least be more suspicious of Tara and will have a new plan to get closer to her.
Phyllis won’t trust Tara at all and will decide she has to take Kyle’s sneaky former flame down.
Whether Summer comes clean or not, Phyllis may determine that Kyle’s ex is the reason her daughter was forced out of Kyle’s life.
Once Phyllis latches onto the idea that Tara played a role in Summer’s recent life changes, it’ll be over for Ms. Locke!
There’s no chance Phyllis will let Tara live happily ever after with Kyle – not when she’s totally upended Summer’s world and caused so much drama.
Tara’s going down hard, so she’d better be ready for Hurricane Phyllis and the revenge plot that’s brewing.
