The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) needs to ban Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and enforce strict boundaries. Kyle should have a relationship with Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) only since this cozy co-parenting thing just isn’t going to work.
Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) can tell that Tara has her eye on Kyle – and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) obviously suspects the same thing.
Tara can’t be trusted and is trying to undermine Kyle’s relationship with Summer by pulling him closer through their son. Summer’s already starting to feel like an outsider while Tara, Kyle and Harrison build this little family unit.
That’s not the way it should be since Kyle made a commitment to Summer as his fiancée. Summer has been remarkably understanding about this three-year-old child who was suddenly dropped in Kyle’s lap.
This affects Summer’s future as well since she’ll be playing stepmom to Harrison if the wedding pans out.
Summer planned to have children of her own with Kyle one day, but now she knows his firstborn belongs to another woman. That has to sting, but Summer’s willing to embrace Harrison and be part of his life.
However, that doesn’t mean Summer should be a pushover and let Tara run the show. Tara doesn’t get to manipulate Kyle through Harrison while she plots some grand reunion!
Summer should really put her foot down when it comes to Kyle’s communication with Tara moving forward.
Y&R fans know Tara and Kyle are former flames who had a very passionate love affair once upon a time. Now Summer can see with her own eyes that their connection remains. It’s only going to grow stronger the longer Summer lets this go on.
Naturally, we’re not saying Kyle has to be rude or make things uncomfortable for Harrison in any way. Kyle simply needs to maintain more appropriate boundaries and cut off contact other than what’s necessary for Harrison’s sake.
Kyle’s fueling Summer’s insecurities, which are reasonable fears to have under the circumstances.
Now that the custody situation has been resolved, there’s no need to protect Tara from Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) like he’s the big bad wolf. Tara will be fine to stand on her own two feet – away from the Abbott mansion and keeping a reasonable distance from Kyle.
This would be a great time for Summer to stand up for herself and set the firm limits of her choosing.
Ashland has terminal lung cancer and will be dead in six months, so Kyle will have to take on an even bigger role in Harrison’s life once Ashland’s gone. Summer has to nip her Tara problem in the bud or else it’s going to snowball into a massive one that could destroy her engagement!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer and Kyle’s romance could get rocky thanks to Tara, but there’s still a chance for Summer to turn things around!
