The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) could become a runaway bride again and break Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) heart. Will a wedding disaster push the devastated groom straight into Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) arms?
Y&R fans know there’s certainly been a lot of talk about Kyle and Summer’s looming nuptials. Summer was looking forward to a fall wedding until all the Tara and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) drama hit hard.
At Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) urging, Summer decided postponing the wedding was the right thing to do.
However, Summer will change her mind on the Monday, June 7 episode. Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) advice will leave Summer eager to tie the knot – the sooner, the better!
Summer will want to fast-track the wedding instead of delaying it, so this sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.
This isn’t the first time Kyle and Summer have had wedding problems. Kyle nearly bailed on their first one, which only happened because Summer wanted it in exchange for donating part of her liver to Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle).
Of course, there was also that failed elopement, which came after Summer got insecure over Kyle’s lingering feelings for Lola. Summer ditched Kyle along with their quickie wedding plans and came home.
Although Summer’s determined to get it right this time and make it last forever, things don’t always work out the way characters want. Kyle and Summer may get married at some point, but will it really be now?
Since the writing’s been so all over the place about the nuptials, it’s clear that Summer isn’t ready. The wedding seems tainted under the circumstances, so it really would be better to postpone until things are more settled for Summer and Kyle.
Summer apparently won’t be on board with doing that anymore, so this wedding may move forward as soon as possible.
That could set the stage for Summer to get cold feet and bolt. Summer just might turn into a runaway bride once more, so Kyle could seek comfort from sympathetic Tara!
