The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) may have another emergency room trip in his future – and Summer Newman (Hunter King) may be to blame. This could be Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) chance to ban the stepmom-to-be from her son with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Let’s consider the story Tara told Kyle about how she left Harrison in the care of a former nanny. The nanny turned her back for a moment and allowed Harrison to fall, so he cut his chin and had to be taken to the ER.
Tara said Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) still throws that in her face and tries to act like she’s an unfit parent since she wasn’t watching Harrison herself.
What was the point of that story? Could it be a setup for another emergency room visit – this time one that happens because Summer turns her back? Summer is doing her best to bond with Harrison despite her obvious discomfort with having this role thrust upon her.
It seems like Y&R’s gearing up for something that’ll rattle Summer and allow Tara to gain the upper hand using her son.
After all, Tara can see how much Kyle likes the fact that Summer is embracing Harrison. Tara wants to form her own family with Kyle and their son – not watch Summer be a successful stepmother by Kyle’s side.
Although Tara would probably never do anything to put Harrison in jeopardy, she would absolutely take advantage of a bad situation and try to spin it in her favor.
It’s easy to imagine Tara making a big deal out of nothing if Harrison suffers some minor injury while Summer’s on babysitting duty. Tara may argue that Summer is a threat to her custody agreement with Ashland and ban her from seeing Harrison as a result.
Since Kyle’s visits with Harrison are dependent on Tara’s cooperation, he could land in a tight spot and might be forced to agree with his former flame. Something like this might work out well for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), who’s dying to get Summer out of town.
The more Summer feels like an outsider, the easier it’ll be for her to accept an amazing job offer in Italy.
Whatever the case, that emergency room story seemed significant. It could lead to a repeat scenario with Summer being held responsible this time around. As other Y&R news rolls in, we’ll bring you updates.
