The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) might’ve ordered Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) car wreck death. Could a surprising past connection be revealed? Let’s mull over an intriguing link that might tie two different storylines together with a twist.
Sutton’s story sort of dropped off the map without true resolution, but it’s coming back around according to Y&R spoilers.
There’ll be some unfinished business to settle as Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) seeks justice and Sutton goes after revenge.
Amanda will do whatever she can to make sure Sutton goes down for killing Richard Nealon, but what if he almost had Ashland killed, too?
During the week of September 27-October 1, it’ll come out that Ashland used to be known as Bobby Defranco before he was “killed” in a car crash 40 years ago.
Of course, it’s odd that Ashland has gone to such great lengths to hide this information.
It could mean that Ashland was afraid someone would finish the job!
It’s interesting that Ashland was apparently nearly killed in a car wreck – much like Richard was killed in a wreck after his own car was tampered with.
What if Bobby aka Ashland worked for Sutton and betrayed him as a young man?
If so, Sutton might’ve gone after Bobby in the same way as Richard. It’s easier to get off the hook for murder if you make it look like an accident, so perhaps that’s what Sutton arranged in both cases.
It’d be smart for Y&R to weave the two stories together since we know Sutton’s hot plot isn’t quite over yet.
Having Sutton as the big baddie who tried to kill Bobby would be an interesting curveball.
Bobby was able to fake his death and ultimately become the Ashland Locke we know today, so perhaps Sutton was the one who set that in motion.
Regardless, it’s an interesting possibility to consider since Bobby “died” under similar circumstances to Richard, Amanda’s father.
