The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) may go after revenge by targeting Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Will Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) new bliss blow up after her grandfather’s payback?
Y&R fans know there’s been a lot of talk about what Sutton’s capable of. Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) has offered repeated warnings about Sutton and the tactics he might use against them for not falling in line.
Although Imani doesn’t think Sutton would physically harm his granddaughters, we know Sutton would harm their love interests!
If Sutton would have Richard Nealon killed, he could easily go after Devon because of his link to Amanda.
That’s especially true since Devon got in Sutton’s face and provoked him not too long ago. Amanda intends to make Sutton pay one way or another, so he’ll either be looking at a criminal conviction or a civil suit that’d just destroy him through another angle.
We’ve also heard Amanda gush about her happiness with Devon and express excitement over the family she’s found – at least the two family members she has left.
Amanda has made real progress with Imani and Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey), so she’s hopeful about the future and seems to be happier than we’ve ever seen her.
Of course, that’s exactly when it’s time to worry on a soap! This Sutton storyline feels unfinished and unsatisfying.
The show has portrayed Sutton as the big bad wolf without ever really showing good examples of it – at least in the present.
Sutton had Richard murdered, but he’s supposedly not the kind of man who’d let Amanda get away with what she’s doing right now.
Will Sutton make Amanda pay the price for going up against him? Will Sutton use Devon as part of his plot and potentially put Amanda’s love in grave danger?
Sutton is capable of murder, so Devon could indeed be at risk for some deadly drama. Amanda’s newfound happiness may just be the calm before the storm.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda has some unpleasant surprises headed her way sooner or later.
