The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) could battle some temptation down the road. Y&R fans can expect Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) to show up in town and promptly run into Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) at The Grand Phoenix.
Kyle won’t have to take a trip to New York since Tara will be right there in Genoa City.
There was obviously a pretty passionate connection between Kyle and Tara once upon a time. It was never supposed to be more than one steamy night, but it turned into a full-blown affair.
Kyle admitted to Summer that he thought he was in love with Tara back then. He also admitted that Tara was a way to get over the pain of losing Summer, so all of that may be important in the coming weeks.
When Kyle first encounters Tara again, he’ll immediately feel a sense of nostalgia over what they had. That nostalgia will quickly fade due to Kyle and Tara’s disagreement over Harrison Locke, but it’s interesting that The Young and the Restless spoilers specify Kyle’s initial reaction.
Kyle could’ve felt uneasy when he first saw Tara – or even angry over the fact that she kept Harrison a secret all this time. Why is Kyle’s first thought going to involve fond memories of Tara and what they shared?
It could point to a lingering spark between Tara and Kyle. This might be something Y&R explores as another obstacle for Kyle and Summer Newman (Hunter King).
Kyle will assure Tara that he’s going to get a DNA test with or without her cooperation, so there’ll be some tension between them after this meeting. However, that tension could lift later on.
After Kyle’s confession blows things up with Summer, Tara’s marriage to Ashland Locke may blow up, too.
Once the news about Harrison potentially being Kyle’s son turns into a media spectacle, there’s definitely going to be some relationship drama.
What happens if Summer breaks up with Kyle or at least leaves him uncertain of their future? What about Tara’s side of all this and the fact that Ashland might divorce her?
Ashland knows Tara cheated with someone, so it’s possible he has a hunch that Harrison may not be his flesh and blood. Nevertheless, Ashland is a man who values his reputation – and it’s going to take a serious hit once this story becomes public knowledge.
It’s easy to imagine Ashland washing his hands of both Tara and Harrison in the aftermath.
Could that lead to Tara wanting to reconnect with Kyle? Will Tara tempt Kyle in the bedroom and maybe even offer the promise of a united family with Harrison? Tara might argue that this is their chance to be together and be there as parents for their son.
If Kyle feels like Summer’s never going to get past his lies and the broken trust, he might consider a new future with Tara – especially for Harrison’s sake. Of course, that plan wouldn’t last, but it’s at least something Kyle might give some thought.
