The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) estranged brother could reveal some disturbing secrets, so will he show up and spill the truth about his sister’s past? Let’s consider some of the hints Y&R has offered and mull over where this storyline might be headed next.
Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) recently realized that Tara hadn’t mentioned her own family, so he brought up the topic. That led to Tara’s confession that she had an estranged brother somewhere in Virginia.
Of course, this presents the possibility that fans will eventually meet this estranged brother and hear what exactly went down between them.
What caused Tara and her brother to be estranged? There was likely some soapy reason for the hostility between them – perhaps something that was Tara’s fault.
This estranged brother might be able to offer more insight into the kind of person Tara really is and what she’s capable of.
Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) has offered repeated warnings about Tara not being as innocent as she claims to be. Ashland insisted Jack didn’t have a clue who he was dealing with and told Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that Tara was no saint.
It feels like more than a case of Ashland being blindsided by the paternity twist. Ashland genuinely seems to know Tara on a deeper level and understand a different side of her.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may be fooled by Tara’s doe-eyed damsel in distress act, but this woman gives off a shady vibe and seems to have an agenda.
As for this estranged brother, maybe Tara managed to steal his inheritance and blow it all on her failure of a shoe line or something similar. Then again, perhaps Tara’s hiding something even worse!
Tara has assured Kyle that there’s nothing else – no other big secrets that could affect the custody case.
If Tara’s estranged brother comes to town or gets tracked down by someone like Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) or Summer Newman (Hunter King), he might tell a far different story.
Regardless, it’s interesting that this estranged brother was mentioned. Will he show up – either in Genoa City or after being found in Virginia?
