The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, April 22 Recap – Victor Denies Ashland Heart Attack Help Unless Contract Signed

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 22, reveals Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will return to the Newman ranch living room after her walk. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will assume that Nikki was off snooping for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

He’ll insist Adam isn’t on the property, but Nikki will counter that’s only true now.

Nikki will guess Victor pulled out all the stops to help Adam disappear, but Victor will deny it. After talk turns to Cyaxares, Victor will defend his actions and push Nikki to stay out of it. He’ll be certain that he’ll work it out with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) like he always does.

At Society, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will point out that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) doesn’t look surprised to see Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Tara will drag Ashland off to the side and push him to come back to New York with her.

Ashland will feel like Tara’s trying to protect Kyle, but she’ll suggest she’s protecting the life she’s built with Ashland instead.

Nearby, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will insist he told Kyle to stay away. However, Kyle will argue that the fallout will be nuclear if he continues to lie. He’ll feel like coming clean to Ashland is the only way, but Ashland will walk back over and announce that he doesn’t have time for this.

Jack will note that they’ll be in touch – and Ashland will fire back that he’s sure they will. Once Ashland leaves and Tara dashes off as well, Kyle will complain about Tara getting in his way.

Jack will think Tara did him a huge favor, but Kyle won’t feel comfortable letting Tara handle Ashland on her own.

Jack will insist his concerns are Kyle and Jabot – in that order! When Summer Newman (Hunter King), she’ll be relieved over the news that Kyle didn’t confess his affair.

Kyle will fill Jack in on his plan to step down at Jabot and take all the heat, but Jack won’t be on board.

Instead, Jack will want to serve as an intermediary. He’ll think maybe he can help Kyle negotiate and will think he deserves a shot at handling it for his son. Soon after, Jack will get updates on his phone and insist that they have to get back to Jabot now.

In the boardroom later, Jack will be on the phone with someone pushing to find out how this happened. He’ll want to do whatever’s necessary to get it reversed.

After Jack hangs up, he’ll talk to Kyle and Summer about the local inspectors in Hartford playing their plant a visit. The plant was cited with violations of health and safety regulations, but Kyle will insist that’s impossible.

Jack will note that there wasn’t even an inspection at all. The plant manager was just served with papers and told to shut the place down. Kyle will think this is textbook Ashland, but Jack won’t think there’s evidence of that yet.

Next, another call will come in about the Chicago plant being shut down, too. San Diego will be the third shutdown that comes eventually.

Jack and Kyle will make plenty of phone calls as they scramble to calm the panic. Their manufacturing group will be in chaos, so Kyle will feel terrible. Jack won’t blame Kyle and will concede that this indeed seems to be Ashland’s calculated attack.

This will impact their workers and their families if they can’t reverse the shutdowns before they become permanent.

Kyle will worry about the possibility that if the false rumors catch fire, their whole brand could tank. Jack will think back on the tainted face cream fiasco, which caused a scandal that almost destroyed them. Jack will think destruction is exactly what Ashland has in mind now.

Back at the ranch, Victoria will barge in and chew Victor out for working to undermine her. She’ll think Victor has made it clear that his “eternally delinquent son” is the priority, but Victor will want to leave Adam out of this.

Victoria and Victor will argue about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) before Victoria insists Ashland is a fool if he lets himself get dragged into the mud.

On her way out, Victoria will declare that this isn’t over. “You bet it isn’t!” Victor will fire back in Thursday’s Y&R episode. Nikki will track Victoria down at Crimson Lights later to point out that Victor is never going to change. If a change is going to be made, it’ll have to come from Victoria.

Once Victoria is alone, she’ll flash back to Victor calling her out on her desire to rekindle things with Billy. Victoria will give Billy a call and get his voicemail, so she’ll leave a message hoping they can set up a family dinner and game night with the kids soon.

Ashland will eventually show up at the ranch, but he’ll look like he’s feeling ill. When Victor wonders if Ashland is all right, Ashland will claim he’s just got a lot on his mind. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Ashland will keep clearing his throat and scowling as he asks for a double bourbon.

Ashland will clench his fist in pain as he talks to Victor, who’ll refuse to sweeten the terms of their deal.

Victor will push Ashland to sign the contract, but Ashland won’t be interested unless Victor can make it worth his while. He’ll point out that Adam makes doing business with Victor a liability.

Ashland will look worse and worse as he downs his bourbon. He’ll tell Victor that the deal is off and that Cyaxares is now off the market, but his chest will tighten up. Ashland will clutch his chest and grimace as he sits back down.

After Ashland admits he thinks he’s having a heart attack, he’ll want Victor to call for help. “You want help, I suggest you sign the damn contract. Sign it,” Victor will warn Ashland. In an old-school Victor move, he’ll withhold a 911 call unless Ashland’s willing to do what he wants!

At the coffeehouse, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will chat with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about his career as well as what a great mom Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be.

Lola will hope it’s not too weird to talk about Abby since she’s Nate’s ex, but he’ll insist it’s fine. Nate will be glad Abby found someone who could roll with all her family’s drama.

Lola will reflect on how the Newman fam’s drama almost got Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) killed by thallium poisoning. She’ll want to thank Nate for saving Rey’s life and will insist on making him a special lunch at Society.

After Nate caves in, Lola will get him set up with an appetizer and promise there’s more to come. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will arrive after being summoned by Lola, who’ll claim her aunt in Miami is having weird symptoms.

Lola will push Elena to join Nate so they can solve the medical mystery together.

However, Lola will get confused about the symptoms and even her aunt’s name. It’ll become apparent that Lola just made up the whole story in an effort to play Cupid, but she’ll dash back to the kitchen while Elena agrees to have lunch with Nate anyway.

Elena will promise she had nothing to do with this and will insist she respects Nate’s decision not to get back together. Nate will assure Elena that he knows – and they’ll agree that Lola’s heart was in the right place.

Once Nate leaves before dessert, Lola will return and express disappointment that her plan didn’t pan out. Elena just won’t think there’s any hope left for her relationship with Nate.

Afterward, Lola will find Nate to apologize for the setup and the bogus sick aunt story. Nate won’t be upset and will acknowledge that Lola was just trying to be a good friend.

Lola will vow not to overstep again unless she’s asked to, but Nate will note that he’s taking a break from romance. Lola will admit she’s also on a romantic sabbatical.

After Lola praises Nate’s amazing qualities, she’ll tell him that he deserves to be happy in case he forgot. Nate will tell Lola “ditto” in case she forgot, too.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say love will continue to be complicated in Genoa City, so stay tuned to Y&R. CDL will have all the thrilling Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news you need, so drop by frequently.
