The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, April 8, teases that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will show back up at Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) hideout with fresh clothes and food.
Adam will admit he spent the night worrying Sharon might abandon him, but Sharon will want to help – even if it’s perhaps against her better judgment.
Sharon will point out that if Adam really didn’t poison Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), she’ll want to know who did. Whether that’s Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) or someone else, Sharon will want the truth. She’ll wonder what they have to do to set the trap Adam has in mind.
At the penthouse, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will get off a phone call with Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and warn Chelsea that the cops think Adam is still in the area.
Chloe will fear for her children’s safety and want to use the one thing that would lure Adam out of hiding so the police can capture him.
Chelsea will get that Chloe means Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), so she’ll give her a firm no on that. However, Chloe will argue they wouldn’t really be using Connor as bait.
It would just be a bluff. The goal would be to make Adam think Connor is sick so that he comes rushing back and is apprehended.
Chelsea will feel like so many things could go wrong, but Chloe will insist that the GCPD could handle it. She’ll even offer to go to Rey herself and set up the sting operation.
Suddenly, there’ll be a knock at the door. It’ll be Sharon calling out to Chelsea on the other side. Chelsea will hop back in her wheelchair and stiffen up before Chloe opens up.
Once Sharon enters, she’ll push Chloe to let her speak with Chelsea alone. Sharon will tell Chelsea that Adam is safe and nearby.
Sharon also reveal that Adam risked getting caught to save Faith Newman’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) life, so Chelsea will think to herself how Adam would do anything for his “precious Sharon.”
Sharon will want to help catch the person who really poisoned Rey, so Chelsea will grumble to herself about how this wasn’t how it was supposed to go.
When Sharon asks to go upstairs and get the list of things Adam asked for, Chelsea will blink that it’s OK. She’ll seem frustrated as she relaxes once she’s alone.
Once Sharon returns, she’ll hope Chelsea isn’t going to worry too much. Sharon will vow to do everything she can to help clear Adam’s name as soon as possible. She’ll argue that then Adam can come home to Chelsea.
As soon as Sharon’s out the door, Chelsea will jump up and insist she has to follow Sharon. She’ll tell Chloe that their plan hit a snag since Adam reached out to Sharon, who’s determined to prove his innocence.
Sharon will return to Adam at the boathouse to bring him up to speed on her visit with Chelsea. She’ll note that Chelsea didn’t seem any different than the last time she saw her. Even so, there was something troubling in Chelsea’s eyes.
Adam will feel like if Chelsea really is guilty, something pushed her over the edge and caused her to turn against him. “That something is me,” Sharon will confess. “Adam, that something is us.”
At The Grand Phoenix, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will snap at Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) briefly on her way out. Summer Newman (Hunter King) will find Phyllis next and insist her mom is the reason she’s now in a terrible position with her boss.
Phyllis will argue that she didn’t get into specifics with Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman), but Summer will counter that Phyllis said enough to put Lauren on Sally’s case – which put Sally on Summer’s case, too.
Phyllis will feel like someone had to step in, but Summer will urge her mom to step somewhere else next time.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will watch Summer leave in a huff and wonder what that was about. Phyllis will brush it off as work drama and get Nick talking about Faith instead.
Nick will be grateful that Faith’s injuries weren’t more severe – and he’ll acknowledge he has no choice but to be grateful to Adam as well.
Phyllis won’t want Nick to forget all the rotten things Adam has done, so Nick will promise he hasn’t. Nick just won’t know what to do with all this gratitude, so Phyllis will advise him to put it somewhere else or let it go.
Over with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) at Crimson Lights, he’ll get a text from Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) that says to call him. Kyle will look glum as he reluctantly dials Ashland’s number and greets him over the phone.
At Jabot, Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will track down Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and confess she’s worried about him along with Summer, her company and “that up-and-coming dynamo” Sally Spectra.
Lauren will argue that the battle between Sally and Summer is far from over. She’ll insist Summer may have been the one who started it and forced Sally to retaliate.
Lauren won’t have the details, but she’ll question her decision to hire Sally and will think Jack needs to talk to her. At the coffeehouse, Jack will find Sally to discuss what’s been going on with Phyllis, Summer and now Lauren. He’ll urge Sally to be totally transparent and tell him the truth.
Back at Jabot, Summer will get a call from Lauren and will agree to meet with her in person. When Summer gripes to Kyle, he’ll insist she should forget about Sally since Ashland is the bigger problem. “The guy is toying with me. I know it,” Kyle will admit in Thursday’s Y&R episode.
In Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) suite, Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) will insist she would’ve warned Amanda if she’d known Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) was going to stop by.
Amanda will admit the visit didn’t exactly affect her decision negatively, but she’ll want some honest answers about her family before she signs on to defend Sutton.
Amanda will want to hear about her father, so Naya will reflect on never falling in love with Richard Nealon. However, they had fun together and Richard had a larger-than-life personality.
Naya will point out that even if she hadn’t gotten pregnant, she wasn’t headed for a happily ever after with Richard. He was busy trying to make a name for himself in the business world.
Naya will make it clear that Amanda’s going to be the face and voice of the legal team if she signs on. She’ll admit it was her idea, but Sutton is on board now.
Naya will confess that Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) doesn’t approve, but she’s withdrawn the restraining order against Amanda and knows this is the direction her family is taking.
Amanda will want peace with everyone, including her sister. Naya will wonder if that means Amanda’s going to take the case, so Amanda will agree to do it. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Naya will be overjoyed by Amanda’s news and will welcome her to the family.
At the Chancellor mansion, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will be there with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) ahead of her appointment to find out if the embryo transfer worked.
Abby will be nervous yet cautiously optimistic, so she’ll hustle Mariah and Devon out so they can find out the blood test results.
Once they’re all at the hospital, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will reveal that she’ll be doing Mariah’s pregnancy test and will fast-track the results for Abby. Devon will make a point to thank Elena before she takes Mariah back for her appointment.
Later, Elena will reveal that Mariah is indeed pregnant, so there’ll be cheers all around the waiting area. When Mariah steps away to get a snack from the vending machine, Devon will acknowledge that it must be tough for Abby to go through this without Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz).
Abby will confess that the video diary isn’t the same and that the lack of communication is killing her.
Nevertheless, Devon will offer a pep talk about how Chance will come home to a brand-new life with Abby and his son or daughter. Afterward, Amanda will run into Devon at Crimson Lights and get updates on Mariah’s pregnancy.
Amanda will worry this is reminding Devon of losing a baby with Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan), but he’ll feel like this is a different, joyful situation.
Devon will confess that he feels closer to Mariah and Abby than he ever has before. He’ll talk about how he intends to be there for Abby while Chance is away, so Amanda will acknowledge that Devon and Abby have a very special relationship.
Talk will turn to Amanda agreeing to help with Sutton’s defense. Amanda will reflect on how her grandfather was able to tap into her vulnerabilities and knew she’d wanted to fit in her entire life.
Devon will wonder if this scares Amanda, but she’ll smile about getting what she’s always wanted.
Back at the Chancellor mansion, Abby will gush about how she can help Mariah shop for maternity clothes. They’ll both feel lucky that their first embryo transfer attempt worked.
When Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) arrives, Abby will give Mariah a chance to talk to her alone. Mariah will confess she’s officially pregnant, so Tessa will be thrilled for her.
Although Mariah will get that this arrangement is weird, she’ll think everything about it feels so right. Tessa will praise Mariah for giving Abby and Chance such a generous gift. She’ll insist she couldn’t be more in love with Mariah and will add that Mariah’s the most loving person she knows.
Afterward, Abby will make a video diary entry for Chance about Mariah’s pregnancy news. Abby will suggest that if Chance had been there, she would’ve taken him in her arms and cherished that moment with him.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby’s loneliness will take a toll on her in the months ahead, so stay tuned to see the trouble that might lead to. CDL’s where you want to be for hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news, so stop by regularly for more Y&R details.
