The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, December 9 Recap – Mystery Woman Spies on Billy – Victoria Celebrates Ashland’s Results

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, December 9, reveals that a mystery woman will spy on Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) while Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) discusses his latest oncologist results. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to on Thursday’s exciting episode.

In Victoria Newman-Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) office, Ashland will come bearing flowers and good news. He’ll reveal that he got some results from his oncologist, which reveal no further spread of the cancer.

Victoria will jump into Ashland’s arms as they decide to celebrate, but Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will interrupt moments later.

Once Lily’s alone with Victoria, she’ll insist Billy is devastated over the ChancComm situation despite his best efforts to hide it. Victoria will think Billy brought a lot of this on himself, so that’ll lead to some bickering.

However, Lily will hope Victoria can offer some warning signs to look for in case of relapse. She’ll feel like Victoria can help as someone who’s been through this with Billy before.

Victoria will share what Lily should look for and urge Lily to keep her updated since this also concerns her children.

At Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will find Billy at the bar and comment on it being a little early for drinking.

Adam will guess it’s not all that surprising after Billy’s spectacular failure and will proceed to rub in the loss, but Billy will think anything he faces is better than being Adam.

After Adam exits, Billy will order another apple juice from the bartender – indicating that he was tricking Adam before.

At The Grand Phoenix, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will run into Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and talk about how they missed her at Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) party.

Mariah will use work as an excuse, but she’ll be truly happy “Bowie” has both his parents back home.

Victor will be confused at first, but Mariah will explain it’s her nickname for the baby. After Victor says that’s cute, he’ll acknowledge Mariah’s traumatic ordeal and let her know he’s there to help if she ever needs anything.

Victor will make it clear that Mariah and Chance will always be supported by the entire Newman family.

Meanwhile, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) will get an idea to shoot some photos of Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) on the coffeehouse patio where she used to busk. He’ll hope to capture some honest and real pics that are like Tessa’s songs.

Noah will mention Adam’s offer for more freelance work at Newman Media, but he’ll be wary since Adam’s involved. When Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) overhears, she’ll urge Noah to consider this as he would any other job offer and try to see the changes in Adam.

After Noah’s alone with Tessa on the patio, he’ll encourage her to play her guitar if it makes her feel more comfortable for the photoshoot. Noah will ask how it feels recreating the past, so Tessa will reply that it feels like tapping into something she didn’t know was still there.

Noah will relate to Tessa’s artistic process and reflect how proud he was of Tessa at her first recording session.

Noah will recall that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was proud as well and will guess Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) could see their connection since he invited Mariah to attend.

As Mariah watches and listens from around the corner, Tessa will talk about how lucky she is to have Mariah in her life.

Tessa won’t think she knew what unconditional love was like until she found Mariah and will talk about the pain that comes with your person being in pain, too.

When Mariah steps over to Sharon at Crimson Lights’ counter, she’ll revisit their recent party discussion. Mariah will mention her encounter with Victor and clarify that she didn’t want to create any complications.

Mariah will think Chance has enough adjustments going on and will know that must be affecting Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor as well.

After Noah wraps up his photoshoot with Tessa, she’ll talk about how that was really something special.

“Yeah, it was,” Noah will sadly mutter to himself while Tessa’s busy with his guitar case. Once Noah’s alone, he’ll smile over the photos he took and seem like he’s still pining over what might’ve been.

In their hotel suite later, Mariah will reconvene with Tessa and talk about the positive conversation she had with Sharon earlier.

Mariah will feel bad about always piling on Tessa about the baby, but Tessa will insist nothing is more important to her than Mariah.

Once Mariah admits to overhearing all the wonderful things Tessa said at Crimson Lights, Tessa will insist she meant every word. She’ll assure Mariah of her love before they share some sweet kisses.

At Newman Media, Victor will reveal that he’s decided to let Victoria place her bid for ChancComm without interference.

Adam will think Victor’s handing Victoria a competing media company on a silver platter and will argue that she’s only going to use it against them.

Even so, Victor will think ChancComm is going back where it belongs. Adam will hint that maybe Victor is trying to create a media war with his children and will ask if this is another one of his little tests.

After Victor raises an eyebrow at Adam, he’ll head out the door – leaving Adam to make some phone calls. Adam will scramble to get some investors so he can place a bid on his own, but he won’t have any luck yet.

Back with Victoria, she’ll worry about Billy going off the rails since Lily was concerned enough to come to her.

Victoria will be more certain than ever that boarding school is the right call for the kids. She’ll plan to make Billy see that it’s the right decision, too.

Later, Victor will drop by and get Ashland’s positive cancer updates. He’ll also reveal that Newman Media will no longer be competing for the acquisition of ChancComm.

Victor will want Newman-Locke to have it and won’t care what Adam thinks since he doesn’t have the financial means to put in a bid on his own.

At ChancComm, Billy will tell Lily that he laid some groundwork with Adam earlier. He’ll intend to make Adam and Billy think he’s blowing up his life.

Lily will admit she visited Victoria with a similar goal in mind, so that’ll explain why she asked for warning signs in case of backsliding.

Lily will decide that Adam’s attack was personal and that he needs to be held accountable. She’ll contend that Victoria was part of all this and won’t be happy about Ashland getting away with all his crimes.

Lily will assure Billy that she won’t give up on him like his ex, so he’ll be grateful for all her support.

Afterward, Billy will land back at Society’s bar, where a woman in disguise will lurk behind him and take pictures on her phone.

Based on the woman’s hands and a recent conversation with Adam, it looks like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may be taking the idea of spying to a whole new level!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy could be taking some huge risks with his plan, so stay tuned.
