The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 15, reveals that Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) will rush to be Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) hero while Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) figures out Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) agenda. Here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to on Thursday’s shocking show.
In Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) suite, she’ll be distracted and not very interested in the merger Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) talking about.
Amanda will be focused on digging for dirt on Sutton Ames (Jack Landron), but she’ll be convinced someone was hired to scrub his online profile and get rid of anything that might be incriminating.
Amanda will plan to keep digging and will decide to walk out with Devon once he’s summoned to the Chancellor mansion by Abby.
In the park, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will approach Tara to discuss the leaked video and the timing of its release. Tara will suggest it’s so sad that passes for news these days.
Tara will also thank Billy for deciding against posting and will be glad to know Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) has such a supportive family looking out for him.
Once Tara leaves, Billy will consider calling Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) before deciding against it.
In The Grand Phoenix lobby, Phyllis will be grumpy from the long trip home from Italy.
Billy will ask how well Phyllis knows Tara and will hope she can offer some insight on what makes Tara tick.
“Do you have a secret baby with her, too?” Phyllis will ask. Billy will assure Phyllis he doesn’t, but he’ll think that distrusting attitude is exactly what he needs for this mission.
Despite how sweet Tara seems on the surface, Billy will be uneasy about her. He’ll want to know what Tara wants and how far she’ll go to get it.
When Billy updates Phyllis on the intense exchange he witnessed between Tara and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she’ll immediately worry about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Billy will think Phyllis’ protective instincts are proof that he came to the right person.
Phyllis will suggest that they both want to know what Tara has up her sleeve – and Billy will drop a hint about how it might’ve played a role in Summer Newman’s (Hunter King) abrupt departure.
Phyllis will bet Sally and Tara were behind this, so she’ll assure Billy that she can handle the first stage of their plan.
When Amanda gets off the elevator with Devon, she’ll spot Billy and Phyllis talking. That’ll give Amanda the idea to turn to ChancComm for help with resources and connections.
Amanda will pay Lily a visit, but Lily won’t think they have anyone on staff who can really offer Sutton assistance. Amanda will decide her best bet is to turn to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) instead.
Billy will return as Amanda’s exiting, so Amanda will let Lily fill him in. However, Lily will be more interested in hearing about Billy’s chat with Phyllis, which Amanda mentioned.
Billy will insist it was a last-minute thing and an effort to protect his family. He’ll eventually take off to get updates from Phyllis, so Lily will insists she trusts Billy despite seeming uneasy once he leaves.
At the Abbott mansion, Phyllis will stop by under the guise of passing along a gift from Summer to Jack.
Phyllis will end up chatting with Tara and acting like she doesn’t blame her at all for what happened between Summer and Kyle.
Phyllis will gush about how Summer’s doing great in Milan and will act like she’s glad her daughter realized she wasn’t ready to be a stepmom.
Phyllis will also suggest Kyle should step up as the new man in Harrison’s life after Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) is gone. Tara will be in total agreement and will talk about how devoted Kyle is.
Tara will insist they’re a family before Phyllis suggests things worked out like they should. Tara will be glad Phyllis sees it that way.
“Yeah, I see things clearly now,” Phyllis will reply. Once she’s outside, Phyllis will gape in horror over Tara’s obvious agenda.
At Crimson Lights, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will remain worried about Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Tessa will tell Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) that Mariah’s texts are reassuring yet vague. Tessa will have a bad feeling and will wish they could contact the police, but she’ll know it’s too soon.
Sharon will give Tessa a pep talk, but she’ll seem nervous underneath the act. Tessa just won’t get why Mariah is relying solely on texts instead of calls.
Tessa will eventually get a call from Abby, who’ll offer news about Mariah.
According to Jack, Mariah texted him about some exploratory meetings and revealed she was taking a couple days off now.
That’ll puzzle Tessa even further since she won’t get why Mariah wouldn’t have confided if she was feeling overwhelmed.
Tessa will get a bit choked up as she sends Mariah another text to let her know she loves her, misses her and wants her to come home.
Afterward, Sharon will give Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) unsolicited advice to be honest with Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) about how she feels.
Once Moses meets with Faith on the patio, Faith will admit she wanted to hear what she assumed Moses was going to say. She just got self-conscious since things were happening so fast.
Faith will admit she needs to go slow, but she’ll want to keep hanging out with Moses – “like, a lot.”
Moses will understand and will smile since he’d like to keep hanging out, too.
When Stitch stops by, Sharon will be happy to see him. She’ll offer whatever Stitch wants on the house as long as he agrees to catch up.
Stitch will briefly fill Sharon in on Max Rayburn (Jared Breeze), but he won’t be looking for a pity party.
Stitch willl also reveal that he was about to leave town when he got a call about filling the empty spot at Memorial.
Sharon will realize Stitch might be moving back to Genoa City and will sense that he’s apprehensive about something.
Stitch will suggest he doesn’t want his presence to remind Abby of the pain of the past.
Stitch will mention the incredible gift Mariah is giving Abby, which will lead Sharon to talk about the mysterious business trip and the concerns that have developed.
“I’m sorry, Sharon. I didn’t know,” Stitch will say. “How could you?” Sharon will reply. Stitch will assume Abby and Tessa must be worried sick – about both Mariah and the baby.
Once Stitch leaves, Sharon will smile over Moses and Faith laughing on the patio. Her mood will turn pensive again as she texts Mariah to let her daughter know she’s thinking of her.
After Devon shows up at the Chancellor mansion, he’ll do his best to reassure Abby. Tessa will return and admit Sharon thinks Mariah may have bolted under the pressure.
Abby will assume Tessa means she was the problem, but Tessa will insist this is on her, too.
“You know what? Now that you mention it, you were being way more intense than I was,” an irritated Abby will insist. “What are you trying to say?!” Tessa will fire back.
Devon will suggest there’s no need for the blame game before Tessa expresses a horrible thought she had. She’ll worry that something terrible might’ve happened with the pregnancy.
Abby will reel as she guesses Mariah wouldn’t be able to face her because she hovered too much. “No, not everything is about you, Abby!” Tessa will shout.
Tessa will insist this is about Mariah and what she could be going through, so Abby will be offended once again.
“Do you think I don’t know that?!” Abby will yell. Devon will pipe up that they’re all on the same team here and won’t think Mariah would want them stressing like this.
Tessa and Abby will ultimately apologize before Devon heads out.
Finally, Abby will answer the door to Stitch, who’ll reveal that something came up just before he was set to return to Iowa.
Stitch will be glad it did and will explain that he heard about Mariah from Sharon. He’ll want Abby to know that he’s there if she needs anything.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the mystery of Mariah’s disappearance will continue to unravel, so stay tuned to Y&R.
