The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 17, reveals that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will have a shady proposition to offer while a double date surprise happens across town. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will also save Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) life, so let’s look at all the action happening on Thursday’s Y&R episode.
At Crimson Lights, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will quiz Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) about his connection to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Ashland will insist they’re just friends and will talk about what an amazing woman Victoria is.
Nikki will note that she hasn’t forgotten how Ashland toyed with Victoria during the Cyaxares deal drama. She’ll also have concerns about Ashland being on the rebound, but he’ll once again insist friendship is all they’re both looking for.
Nikki will suggest there’s something that would put her mind at ease and will pitch the idea of Ashland joining her for cocktails along with Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).
Meanwhile, Victoria will play it coy as Victor grills her about her trip with Ashland. He won’t like his daughter being involved with a man going through a bitter divorce, but Victoria will hint that it may be more civil than Victor thinks.
Victor won’t feel like Victoria knows Ashland well enough to judge, but she’ll counter that she knows him better than Victor. That’ll lead to Victor’s own invitation for the four of them to have drinks together. Victoria will get a text from Ashland, who’ll admit Nikki asked him the same question.
Although Victoria won’t be pleased over the little scheme Victor and Nikki hatched, she’ll get on board since Ashland will be on board, too. At The Grand Phoenix, Victoria and Ashland will meet up before Nikki and Victor arrive.
Victoria will grumble about going on a double date with her mom and dad, but Ashland will think it’s going to be fun. He’ll suggest it’s been a long time since he felt like a teenager getting judged by the parents of the most popular girl in town.
Ashland will ask Victoria to keep his deadly diagnosis a secret, so she’ll assure Ashland that’s his story to tell.
Soon after Victor arrives with Nikki, he’ll sit down across from Ashland will pump him for information about the trip to New York. As for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), he’ll run into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and get updates on the Ashland divorce story ChancComm plans to run.
Billy will insist he wanted to give a heads-up, but he’ll feel obligated to cover it now that the news is out there.
Although Billy will promise not to exploit the situation, Kyle will still have concerns. Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) is too young to know what’s going on, but Kyle will feel like he’ll sense it if Tara’s upset.
Kyle will push Billy to remember how his own kids were affected when the big story was Billy being accused of Chance Chancellor’s (last played by Donny Boaz) shooting.
Kyle will play the “we’re family” card and push Billy to reconsider, especially since Victoria is now tied to Ashland. Billy will acknowledge that he hears what Kyle is saying and will promise to take it under advisement.
Billy will also ask about Summer Newman (Hunter King) and will get that her situation isn’t easy. Billy will note that Harrison being involved Kyle’s life means Tara is involved in his life, too.
In the park, Tara will push Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to reveal what she wants. Sally will argue that Tara already knows and will insist this is about getting rid of Summer fast.
When Sally senses Tara’s change of heart, she’ll suspect this has something to do with Summer’s August wedding plans.
Tara will doubt that Summer would take a job too far away – no matter how alluring. Sally will insist that’s where Tara comes in, but Tara will argue that she doesn’t have magical powers. She won’t think she can make Kyle fall back in love with her overnight.
Sally will think Tara is underestimating herself, but she’ll agree that they have to work quickly and pave the way for Summer’s exit.
When Tara wonders why she should trust her, Sally will argue that they have to trust each other to be a real team. She’ll guarantee this plan won’t blow up in their faces.
Sally will think Summer’s love for Kyle is going to work in their favor. She’ll think the best part is that Summer’s leaving will be her own doing.
Later, Sally will call Eric Forrester (John McCook) and let him know now’s the perfect time to recommend Summer for that job in Italy.
Eric will admit he’s keeping his fingers crossed for Summer as well as Sally since there’s a chance to move up at JCV.
In a hotel suite, Summer and Phyllis will discuss wedding plans before Phyllis pushes her daughter to get honest.
Phyllis will think Summer needs to ask herself if she bumped up the nuptials because she can’t wait to start a new chapter with Kyle – or if it’s because she’s feeling insecure over Tara and Harrison.
Summer will insist she wants to marry Kyle and will think she can be a good stepmom in time. Phyllis won’t doubt that, but she’ll worry about Tara using Harrison to her advantage. She’ll argue that a woman like that will do anything to use her kid as a wedge between two people.
“I want you to watch her,” Phyllis will warn. Summer will assure Phyllis that she’s keeping her eyes wide open. Afterward, Tara will interrupt Kyle and Summer’s conversation at the Abbott mansion.
Kyle will fill Tara and Summer in on ChancComm’s divorce story plans. He’ll think the best they can hope is that Billy will keep things professional as promised.
Tara will soon shut down all the divorce talk and will note that Harrison wants his daddy to take him to the park. Summer will tell Kyle that they can finish up their discussion later, so he’ll thank her and dash off to get Harrison.
Once Tara is alone with Summer, she’ll admire the way Summer’s handling Kyle becoming a father. Tara will hope Summer sees how profound the connection between Kyle and Harrison is.
Tara will add that it gives her peace of mind to know Summer wouldn’t do anything to get in the way of that Daddy-son bond. After Summer confirms it, Tara will note that she has a proposition for her.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he’ll calm Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) down following her scary phone call. Devon will reveal a package that’s labeled, “Give this to Abby when you think she needs it most.”
Abby will be delighted to find Chance’s favorite sweatshirt inside along with a note about how she can feel him wrapped around her.
At Society, Elena will join Nate and Moses Winters (Jacob Aaron Gaines) as they enjoy some crab cakes. They’ll all be discussing Elena’s Baltimore offer when Nate suddenly struggles to breathe.
Nate will gasp about an allergy, so Elena will send Moses to the host for an epinephrine pen.
Moses will freeze up and argue that he doesn’t know what that is, but Elena will explain that it’s an allergy shot and push him to go NOW.
Once Nate gets the shot and starts breathing more normally, he’ll admit he’s never been allergic to anything before. He’ll feel lucky that Elena was there when he needed her.
Later, Elena and Nate will explain what happened at Devon’s place. Once they leave, Moses will beat himself up for letting his emotions get the best of him in a time of crisis.
Devon will feel like that’s what medical school is for and will think Moses will know everything he needs to know eventually.
On the coffeehouse patio, Nate will admit he wasn’t able to finish what he was trying to say earlier due to his allergic reaction. He’ll insist Elena has to do what’s right for her, but he’ll confess he doesn’t want her to take the job.
Elena will wonder if Nate’s getting emotional because she saved his life. Although that’ll be part of it, Nate will argue that there’s a whole lot more to why he wants her to stay.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate and Elena will feel the heat soon, so don’t miss what’s in store. CDL will have all the scorching Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news you need, so make us your Y&R hotspot.
