The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, June 17, tease that Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) threat will rattle Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), so this protective mom will warn Summer Newman (Hunter King) to stay on guard. As for Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), she’ll test Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and try to see if their spark is really something they’ve put to rest.
First, we should talk about Tara and the scheming she’ll be doing. It looks like Tara will meet up with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on Thursday’s Y&R episode, so Phyllis could easily catch a glimpse of them together and wonder what they’re plotting.
Of course, it’d be easy for Sally to claim this was about Tara’s shoe line instead of pushing Summer right out of Genoa City. Phyllis may not get firm answers on what Tara’s up to, but she’ll sense trouble and will sound the alarm.
Although Phyllis would never be rattled by women like Tara or Sally herself, she’ll worry about Summer getting caught by surprise. Phyllis will be unsettled on Summer’s behalf and will urge her daughter to keep her guard up when it comes to her enemies.
That’s especially true with Tara since she’d clearly like to reunite with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor)!
Next, Elena will make a bold move that puts Nate to the test. She’ll challenge Nate somehow and attempt to gauge his reaction, so Elena might have to be blunt about her potential Baltimore plans.
Elena already tried the subtle approach by asking if Nate could think of any reason why she should turn down the job offer.
That didn’t seem to do the trick, so Elena might flat-out ask Nate if he wants her to stick around. Then again, Elena might try some other strategy that involves flirting or showing interest in Nate romantically.
Elena would really like another chance with Nate, so she needs to figure out if he might be on the same page deep down.
Since we know sparks are set to fly between Nate and Elena during the week of June 21-25, it sounds like Elena’s plan will pay off!
In the meantime, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) will likely lock lips – perhaps right before Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) show up.
There’ll be questions from both Victor and Nikki as they try to get to the bottom of this new connection. Victoria seems to be working a couple different angles, but she’ll want to handle things her way and keep her nosy parents from meddling in her business.
