The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 3, reveals that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will consider pushing for sole custody while Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) talks about his ironclad prenup. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will also seem to be moving on, so here’s what you can look forward to on Thursday’s exciting episode.
On the Crimson Lights patio, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will offer to listen if Summer Newman (Hunter King) wants to talk. Summer will be afraid if she starts opening up, she won’t be able to stop crying.
Sharon will have to step inside to deal with coffee-related matters. She’ll get updates on Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) new address and learn she just moved in with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Victoria will overhear and get confirmation from Lily before she takes off in a hurry.
Once Sharon rejoins Summer, she’ll give her a pep talk about romance and marriage. Sharon will insist that even insurmountable problems can be overcome. She’ll point out that Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are the only two people in this relationship.
“What if it’s not just the two of us?” Summer will ask. She’ll assure Sharon that Kyle isn’t cheating, but she’ll admit there’s a complicated situation that’s moving awfully fast. Sharon will argue that even in situations that seem out of Summer’s control, she gets to choose how she responds.
In the park, Kyle will find Tara watching Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) play. Tara will seem amused that Kyle was so spooked about not finding them at the house.
Tara will wonder where Kyle thought they’d be, so Kyle will admit he worried Ashland already made a custody move – or that Tara got scared and left town with Harrison.
Kyle will suggest that if Tara had told him where they were headed, he would’ve come along. He’ll insist Tara and Harrison aren’t an imposition since this is his priority right now. Kyle will reflect on perhaps teaching Harrison to ride a bike when the time is right.
Tara will mention that her lawyer has suggested a much more aggressive approach in the custody battle. She’s being pushed to try for sole custody – though Tara will want both Kyle and Ashland in Harrison’s life if possible.
Tara will be concerned about Ashland trying to vilify her, but Kyle will try to be optimistic. He’ll impress Tara by showing how much he cares about Harrison after just a few short days of knowing him.
A little later on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Kyle will tease Harrison about spinach ice cream before learning chocolate is his favorite – just like Kyle. Tara will dash off to get some cones for them while Kyle talks to Harrison about racecars and makes a “vroom-vroom” sound.
Harrison will call Kyle “Daddy” again right as Summer appears to witness the sweet moment. She’ll look overwhelmed at first, but she’ll eventually seem touched as Kyle rolls a ball back and forth with Harrison while chatting.
Before Summer can approach, Tara will call out to Kyle and Harrison about their ice cream that’s waiting. Summer will return later with a toy for Harrison, but she’ll seem disappointed to see that Kyle, Harrison and Tara have already left.
At Society, Ashland will talk business with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) before the conversation shifts to his looming divorce. Ashland will insist he has an ironclad prenup, so Tara will walk away with as little of his money as possible.
The situation is trickier when it comes to Harrison – and Ashland will admit it’s not really in his DNA to keep personal feelings out of things.
When Victor bumps into Billy afterward, Billy will think Victor’s downplaying how much the scathing article about Newman Media bothered him. Billy will assume retribution is coming and will vow to be ready. “Fasten your seatbelt, ‘Billy Boy,’” Victor will warn with a smug smile.
Billy will fill Lily in on that encounter later, but she’ll think they have a more pressing matter to discuss. Lily will bring up the fact that Victoria’s in the loop on them moving in together.
Suddenly, Victoria will appear with a plant as a housewarming gift. She’ll confirm that she heard the news from Lily, but she’ll assure Billy that she’s not upset and is actually happy for him.
Once Victoria leaves, Lily will consider the idea that Billy’s ex might be getting lucky these days. She’ll wonder if Victoria’s moved on from Billy because she’s found someone else.
Billy will mention that he’s seen Victoria with Ashland recently. If Victoria has indeed moved on, Billy will hope it’s not with Ashland!
At Newman Media, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will eavesdrop as Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has a sweet video chat with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Adam will note that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) can’t speak with Connor today because she’s having some treatments. He’ll gush over how he wishes he could’ve seen Connor at his soccer game before they disconnect.
After Nick reveals his presence, he’ll ask what’ll happen if Chelsea does recover. Nick will question if there’s a chance for Adam and Chelsea to reconcile, but Adam won’t be sure they can come back from everything that went down.
Regardless, Connor is Adam’s focus – and Adam will credit Victor for giving Chelsea so much help during all this turmoil.
That part will perplex Nick, who’ll question Victor’s motives. Nick won’t get why Victor is so fixated on helping Chelsea. He’ll find it even odder that Adam doesn’t seem to have the same questions he does.
Adam will view this topic as a waste of time, so Nick will get to his reason for stopping by. He’ll accept the Newman Media and New Hope partnership offer since the benefit outweighs the risk.
Victor will be tickled pink when he hears Nick’s on board. He’ll talk about how this is a dream of his – to have his boys working together and getting along.
Later, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will pop in and learn Victor’s cooking up a birthday surprise for her. She’ll also point out that Victor doesn’t seem interested in Newman Enterprises lately.
Victor won’t think that should come as a shock to Nikki since Victor made it clear she didn’t want his advice. When Victoria meets up with Nikki, they’ll discuss plans for cake and ice cream with the kids for Grandma’s birthday.
Nikki will also find out that Victoria’s in the loop on Billy and Lily getting a place together. She’ll seem concerned when she learns Victoria took them a housewarming gift, but Victoria will insist her motives were pure.
Ashland will interrupt with a dinner invitation for Victoria…and Nikki if she wants to come as well. Nikki will decline, but Victoria will agree to Ashland’s request. He’ll talk about how it’s going to be the highlight of his day before he excuses himself and leaves.
“You want to tell me what the hell that was about?” Nikki will ask Victoria. However, Victoria will insist Ashland is just a friend – that’s all. As for Nick, he’ll seem cautiously optimistic about the changes Adam’s making when he tells Sharon about his partnership with his brother.
Victor will urge Adam to look at an email and will confess that he hired a ChancComm exec to help refine their attack. Adam will want to put a pin in this, but Victor will disagree.
Eerie music will play as Adam argues they’ll have to agree to disagree sometimes. Victor will reluctantly let this go for now, but it’s obvious this is building to some trouble!
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will hear more about Harrison and admit he loves learning all the little details. He’ll talk about how much it means for Harrison to call him “Daddy.”
Kyle will feel like his heart’s going to burst – and Tara will admit it does her heart good as well to see the daddy-son bonding.
Kyle and Tara will stare at each other a little too long before there’s a knock at the door. It’ll be Ashland, who’ll declare that he needs to speak with his wife alone.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will remain protective of Tara and Harrison, so that’s going to take a toll on Summer and Kyle’s relationship as time goes on.
