The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 18, reveals that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will enjoy an escape from all the drama over lunch in a suite. After Summer reaffirms that they’ll face whatever comes their way together, Kyle will have to dash off.
Summer will claim she was in the middle of something before Kyle came in, so she’ll get back to it once Kyle’s gone. Once Summer gets on her laptop, she’ll look at an article about Harrison Locke’s birth online.
Downstairs in The Grand Phoenix lobby, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will fish to find out if Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) just had lunch with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Jack will insist he met with an out-of-town buyer instead.
After Jack reflects on Summer and Kyle being in a good place, Phyllis will mention some confidential advice she gave her daughter. Jack will think it sounds like Summer is a lot more open with her than Kyle is with him.
As Kyle breezes by, he’ll wave and continue on his way. Phyllis will suggest Kyle must just be late for a meeting and not ignoring Jack.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will hang up the phone and inform Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that she lost the battle for Cyaxares.
Victoria will rant about how she thought the pitch went so well. Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) even asked Victoria to dinner. “He hit on you?!” Nikki will exclaim.
Victoria will assure Nikki that she handled it by suggesting that Ashland should bring his wife along, so that’ll satisfy Nikki. Since Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had the winning pitch, Nikki will express concern about them teaming up.
However, Nikki will sense that Victoria is most worried about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Nikki will want to offer Victoria some advice, so Victoria will suggest that she’s listening. When it comes to Billy, Nikki won’t want Victoria to make any sudden moves. Nikki will think Victoria should wait for the urge to pass and avoid doing anything she can’t take back.
At Chancellor Communications, Billy will be furious as he disconnects. “That son of a bitch!” Billy will snarl. He’ll feel like he’s a target now – and Cyaxares is a weapon pointed straight at the company.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will try to steer Billy away from thinking about old feuds, so he’ll feel like she sounds like Victoria. Lily won’t care on this one subject since Victoria is right.
Billy will assume Lily thinks he’s going to flip out again because of Adam. Lily will counter that she didn’t say that, but Billy will insist she thought it. Lily will warn Adam to trust their team, so Billy will agree to try before talk turns to their relationship.
Lily will think they’re solid, but she’ll wonder about Victoria’s next move.
As for the Cyaxares deal, Billy will suspect something shady must’ve gone down for Adam and Victor to get it. At the penthouse, Adam will pop open Champagne. Ashland will decline a glass since he’ll be eager to get home to his son, but he’ll promise to be in touch regarding contracts.
Once Ashland leaves, Victor and Adam will pat themselves on the backs over their team effort. After a toast to their massive win, Adam will offer updates to Chelsea.
As Adam and Victor chat, Chelsea will wish she could jump out of that wheelchair and tell them both off! Nevertheless, Chelsea will know she needs to rein it in a little longer and wait to make them pay.
After Adam goes out for a while, Chelsea will text Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to come over. Once Chloe arrives, she’ll send the nurse out for a break.
Off screen, Chloe will learn about some task Chelsea wants her to carry out. Chloe will find it vague and arbitrary. She won’t see how it’ll help Chelsea break away from Adam, but Chelsea will push Chloe to trust her – no questions asked.
Chloe will admit she’s in, but she’ll want Chelsea to be careful. After Chelsea offers reassurance on Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode, Chloe will exit. That’ll leave Chelsea alone to grab a nearby tablet and start typing on it.
Back in the Grand Phoenix lobby, Kyle will approach Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) with her luggage as she’s about to check out. Tara will talk about how this trip was “awkward as hell.” She’ll be eager to leave, but Kyle will keep trying to talk about Harrison.
Tara will lash out and wonder why he keeps doing this. As things get heated on Tara’s end, Ashland will walk through the door and witness the tension.
At Crimson Lights, Billy will bump into Victoria. They’ll discuss the news of their mutual Cyaxares loss before Billy addresses how they left things last time. Billy won’t want Victoria to feel bad or awkward and will insist everything is fine between them. Victoria will give a slight smile in response.
Billy will end up asking for Victoria’s opinion about getting Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) a musical instrument, but she’ll know he’s just trying to make things seem normal. After Victoria sweetly encourages Billy to go, she’ll sit at her table deep in thought.
Back with Kyle and Tara, they’ll stop arguing as Ashland approaches. Kyle will tell them both to have a good trip home, but Ashland will still look suspicious. As Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) appears, she’ll taunt Kyle about Tara being the one who got away.
Kyle will argue that fling ended a long time ago, but Sally will suggest there must be something tying them together. That’ll set Kyle off and make him snap about how Harrison is NOT his kid.
Sally will think that “Young Master Harrison” certainly seems to be on Kyle’s mind, but she’ll tell him to relax and add that she’s just giving him a hard time. Sally will insist she wants them to get along since she’s spending more time with Jack.
Afterward, Phyllis will find Sally and try to set her up with a “gorgeous” hotel employee named Troy. Phyllis will insist that she told Troy that Sally was single. She’ll offer to set up a dinner on her, so Sally will snark about that being “unbelievably generous.”
Sally will feel like they need to get to the heart of the matter – and that’s the fact that Phyllis doesn’t like her friendship with Jack. Phyllis will correct Sally because it’s them becoming more than friends that’s the problem.
Sally will assume Phyllis thinks Jack is too good for Sally, so Phyllis will argue that goes without saying.
Even so, Sally won’t care about Phyllis’ approval. Phyllis will insist that everyone in town knows Jack is out of Sally’s league. She won’t be buying Sally’s innocent act at all. Sally will note that she’s going to meet Jack right now and will be sure to tell him that Phyllis said hi.
Back in Victoria’s office, Victor will show up to give his daughter a pep talk. Victoria won’t be there – and Nikki will think that’d just make things worse anyway.
When it comes to Adam, Victor will feel confident that his son is going to prove that he’s changed.
At the coffeehouse on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Victoria and Adam will trade jabs as they discuss Cyaxares.
After Victoria talks about Adam entering total submission with Victor, Adam will think maybe his sister is just bitterly disappointed over the loss. He’ll praise her efforts to help Billy as “beautiful in a pathetic sort of way.”
At Society, Kyle will assure Summer that he hasn’t changed his mind and doesn’t want to blow up Harrison’s world. Summer will think that’s the right call. She’ll allude to something they’ve had on hold, so Kyle will tease her about getting down on one knee.
Kyle will accept Summer’s proposal, but she’ll insist it’s merely a suggestion that they get re-engaged.
Kyle will happily accept that suggestion – though he’ll think they should keep it quiet and take things slow. Summer will be on board with that plan, so Kyle will think they need to make this official with some Champagne.
At Jabot, Sally will give Jack a shirt she found while she was out shopping. Jack will get a text from Phyllis, who’ll want to meet up and tell him something he should know. Sally will find out Phyllis is texting Jack, so she’ll mention her earlier run-in with his ex.
As far as Sally’s concerned, she knows Jack is out of her league. Sally won’t think that’s a problem at all. “What’s wrong with wanting nothing but the best?” Sally will ask Jack as they exchange smiles.
At Crimson Lights, Adam will be perplexed as he sees an exchange with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) on his phone – the one Chelsea secretly made happen.
Adam will see the text supposedly from him about how he couldn’t stop thinking about Sharon – and a response from Sharon about how he should leave her alone.
Sharon’s text will also say she needs to focus on sick Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and that Adam should let her go for good. Adam will stand there looking completely stunned and confused in the middle of Crimson Lights.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam has more shockers in his future, so stay tuned to Y&R. CDL will have lots of other hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news for you, so stop by regularly.
