The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, September 2 Recap – Sally & Adam Kiss Passionately – Devon’s Daddy Dilemma

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 2, reveals that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will kiss Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) opens up about his new daddy dilemma. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will also go on an ammo hunt, so here’s what Y&R fans can look forward to.

At the Newman Media launch party, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will suggest that success isn’t in the cards for Adam and Sally as a new coupling. She’ll feel like they’re going to destroy each other and should have a good time while it lasts.

Adam will assure Phyllis that they’re going to before he saunters off with Sally, but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will wonder if Phyllis’ button-pushing was necessary.

Jack will know this is a big night for Newman Media, so he’ll urge both Phyllis and Billy to be on their best behavior.

Back with Sally, she’ll mention to Adam that she’s sorry Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) can’t make it.

Sally was hoping to chat Victoria up about designing her wedding dress, but Adam won’t think that’ll happen after what Sally did to Summer Newman (Hunter King). However, Sally will feel like Adam’s underestimating her abilities.

Talk will eventually turn to Adam’s feud with Billy, so Sally will admit she knows about what happened to Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono). Adam will insist it was a terrible accident that he handled horribly.

Although Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was able to move beyond her hatred of Adam, he won’t believe that’ll ever be possible for Billy.

Adam will suggest he might tell Sally more another time, but he’ll feel like tonight should be about having fun.

Unfortunately, Adam will receive word from Chloe that Miles Fisher has a fever, so she won’t be able to make it to the event.

Next, Billy and Adam will have a tense conversation by the bar. Adam will know Billy would love to undermine the launch and do something to steal his thunder, but he’ll insist it’s not happening.

Billy will point out that they’re not letting their guard down at ChancComm since he won’t trust the truce. Adam will ultimately argue that if he did go after ChancComm, they’d never see it coming.

After Lily spots the encounter, she’ll admit she could see the gauntlet being thrown down. Lily will quiz Billy alone before he dashes off to do something that might give them an edge.

Phyllis will worry about what Billy’s up to when he boards an elevator, so Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will decide to follow him just in case.

Upstairs, Billy will tell a hotel employee that Mr. Newman needs something from the green room for his presentation.

The employee will insist she can’t let Billy in without Mr. Newman’s permission, but Billy will promise that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) would be cool with this.

Bill will act like time is of the essence and imply that asking Mr. Newman’s permission is just going to make him angry.

After the employee warns Billy not to tell Ms. Summers, she’ll let him in – and that’ll give Billy the chance to snoop around.

Billy will get on a laptop in hopes of scooping details before the launch or finding some other ammunition, but he’ll get busted by Nick.

Back at the party, Jack will praise Adam for this new venture as well as the personal turnaround in his life. That said, Jack will have to question Adam’s choice of date.

Adam will clarify that he struck up a friendship with Sally at Newman Media and that’s it. He’ll assure Jack that he’s focused on work and not planning to be anyone’s redemption story.

As for Phyllis, she’ll push Sally to her breaking point. Phyllis will talk about how Sally’s just going to end up alone, lonely, cold and sad – because that’s who she is.

Phyllis will argue that no one wants Sally there except for Adam, who’ll kick Sally to the curb once he’s carried out his agenda.

After Phyllis shouts to take her circus act somewhere else, Sally will decide she’s had enough. “Go to hell, bitch!” Sally will shout as she throws a drink in Phyllis’ face.

Phyllis will respond by dumping a nearby ice bucket over Sally’s head, so they’ll nearly get into a physical confrontation.

Adam will hold Sally back while Jack does the same with Phyllis. Once Adam wraps his coat around Sally, he’ll lead her toward the elevator – which will give Nick and Billy a chance to see them as they come back down.

Nick will look perplexed as he spots Jack wiping off Phyllis with a towel, so he’ll ask what he missed.

As for Billy, he’ll get updates on the ice bucket drama from Lily. Billy will also mention that he was close to finding ammo before Nick ran in with his superhero tights.

Lily will have a hunch this won’t be the end of Billy’s hunting expedition.

Back with Sally, she’ll accept a towel from Adam and launch a tirade about Phyllis.

Adam will joke about maybe doing his speech naked since Sally will be a tough act to follow. Sally will suggest that’d certainly get her attention before apologizing for the ruined bash.

Adam won’t think Sally ruined anything, especially since the party needed to be livened up. After Adam admits he likes Sally’s fire, she’ll lunge forward to kiss him passionately.

In Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) hotel room, she’ll open the door to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and fill him in on Sutton Ames’ (Jack Ames) court date being set.

Amanda will be glad Sutton’s going to face a jury and will mention that she’s got a family bonding trip coming up with Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) and Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose).

After Devon shows off some pics of Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor on his phone, Amanda will sense that he needs to talk. She’ll suggest the party can wait, so Devon will open up about his complicated feelings regarding the baby.

Even though Devon will know he’s going to be part of Dominic’s life, he’ll still feel a sense of emptiness.

Devon will confess that knowing other people will be raising Dominic is hitting him harder than he thought it would.

Amanda will think that’s perfectly understandable since a biological connection is such a powerful thing.

Devon won’t regret agreeing to help Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz) become parents.

It’ll just be hard for Devon to wrap his head around the fact that he has a son – and yet, he doesn’t really have a son.

Amanda will think it’s fine for Devon to acknowledge that Dominic is his son, even if it’s just with her. She’ll praise Devon for all he’s already given Dominic, but Devon will struggle to define what kind of role he’ll play in the boy’s life.

If Devon isn’t Dominic’s dad, then he won’t know who he is. Amanda will think Devon can figure it out along the way and will vow to be there for him.
