The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) may need to brace for some bad news. Y&R fans know Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) took off suddenly on an urgent assignment – and Abby immediately assumed it was quite dangerous.
There was definitely an emphasis on this being a mission that brought more risks than usual.
Chance couldn’t tell Abby when he’d be back and didn’t even say goodbye before he left. It’s been hard for Abby, but she’s clinging to the hope that Chance will return in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, Abby’s on cloud nine now that it looks like her baby dreams are going to come true.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) intends to be the sperm donor, and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has promised to carry the baby. Abby’s excited about working with a couple of her closest friends to make “Baby Chancellor” a reality.
If all goes well, Abby could have a new baby for Chance to meet when he returns – but alas, things don’t typically go well on a soap!
On March 4, Abby will lean on Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) for support. On March 5, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have some terrible updates to pass along.
Of course, those spoilers may not be related to each other, but we have to consider the possibility that they’re connected. We at least want to focus on the one about Abby leaning on Nina and Christine.
That combination is interesting since Christine’s the person who filled Abby in on Chance’s mission and urged her to keep in mind that he’s a hero.
Christine isn’t exactly a close friend of Abby or anything, so her involvement suggests that she’ll have some news to deliver – potentially some grim news involving Chance.
That would leave Christine in the position to support Abby along with Nina. Could Christine reveal that Chance has gone missing or has perhaps been presumed dead?
Naturally, we have to acknowledge that any bad news about Chance would affect Nina as well since she’s Chance’s mother. However, Nina could certainly still be supporting Abby as she deals with the blow herself, too. Abby and Nina could support each other if they realize Chance may not ever be coming home.
As for Victor’s updates the next day, it’s easy to imagine him spreading the news about Chance to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) or Abby’s siblings.
Since The Young and the Restless has been offering some hints about the surrogacy not actually working out, this Chance twist makes sense. Abby may let Devon and Mariah off the hook once she realizes Chance may never be in the picture again.
Whatever the case, there must be a reason for Christine to pop up in Abby’s story one more. Since Christine will give Abby support, it could mean she’ll break Abby’s heart with a Chance shocker. As other Y&R news rolls in, we’ll bring you updates.
