The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, August 31, teases that Ashland Locke (Richard) will have a health setback while Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) goes after Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will also hope his risky gift has a positive outcome, so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
Y&R’s weekly promo features Ashland struggling to breathe at the coffeehouse – and it looks like Tuesday’s episode may be when that plays out.
Nate will ride to the rescue, but Ashland won’t be eager to accept any help.
Of course, we should note that the hospital set is up for Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Baby Bowie, so this might be a good time for Ashland to have an onscreen hospital visit, too.
Nate might be concerned enough to practically drag Ashland there himself!
If the situation’s dire enough, Ashland might collapse and have to be taken to Memorial by ambulance – that is if any of this illness stuff is even real.
None of it has ever passed the smell test, so who can say for sure that Ashland has ever truly been sick?
Whatever the case, Billy feels confident Ashland is keeping some huge secrets under wraps. He’ll remain on a mission to expose them and thwart the nuptials, but Victor will feel like it’s for the wrong reasons.
Although Billy claims to have Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) best interests at heart, Victor may worry Billy would like to reunite with his former flame.
Victor recently reminded Billy that Victoria was no longer his concern, but he may think one more reminder is in order.
Billy might find himself on the receiving end of another warning as he continues to dig into Ashland’s history.
Speaking of warnings, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will get one as well. Victoria will confront Lily and assume ChancComm is looking for a hot Ashland scoop.
Although Victoria may acknowledge that Billy’s the true troublemaker, she’ll expect Lily to keep him in line. Lily and Victoria will end up having a pretty fierce faceoff once Victoria comes around spewing accusations, so stay tuned.
As for Elena, she’ll have a couple of big decisions to make. Once Elena gets updates on Nate recommending her for the Ask MD Now position, will she be honored or view this as another way to pull strings for her?
Elena wasn’t on board with Nate doing anything special for her at the hospital, so there’s the possibility for this spokesperson thing to backfire.
However, it looks like Elena will decide she’s grateful instead – though that doesn’t mean she’ll accept the gig right away.
Elena will have to consider whether this is even feasible since she works so much as it is. Nate might give Elena a gentle nudge toward letting him help her.
It’s not right for Elena to be the only one taking all those extra shifts anyway, so she might realize she was being stubborn about the preferential treatment before.
Regardless, Nate and Elena will have a romantic night complete with dancing soon, so that may be a celebration after Elena takes the job.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena and Nate will keep growing closer, but more obstacles are bound to hit eventually.
