The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, December 14, teases that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will pull off his next trick while Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) delivers a surprise. Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will also connect over something they have in common, so here’s what Y&R has in store.
Billy’s been laying the groundwork for a top-secret scheme by making himself look like a drunken, depressed mess. The plan is working like a charm since Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will hope to take advantage of Billy’s misfortune.
Victor and Adam will come together to plot another big move, but they won’t realize Billy’s already playing them like a fiddle.
As Billy gets ready for phase two, Lily will check in and make sure Billy’s up for the challenge. She won’t want Billy letting himself spiral out of control for real, but Billy will be feeling large and in charge.
Lily will ask Billy to do her a favor that he’d rather not do – perhaps just some precaution to make her feel better about the situation.
Billy is a risk-taker at his core, but Lily will think he has to play it at least a little safe or else he may have nothing to show for his hard work.
Even so, Billy will still be taking a gamble as his plan with Lily moves full-speed ahead. Adam and Victor will continue to get duped, but they’ll have to call a time-out on their meeting to deal with some drama at the Newman ranch.
The security team will get in touch about Chelsea’s return to the property, so it won’t be long until Victor and Adam head over.
They’ll find Chelsea catching up with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), but Adam will have to decide if his ex is truly the changed woman she claims to be.
Chelsea will have a goal in mind when she hits Genoa City again – and that goal will be to reunite with Adam. She’ll know she has to play it cool and manipulate things slowly, but she’ll hold out hope for a “Chadam” family future.
At Crimson Lights, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will react to a shocking request. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will invite Elena to move in with him, so she’ll have to decide whether to trust her head or her heart.
Elena’s heart will certainly tell her it’s the right call, but her head may fear this will complicate things even further since Nate is her boss. Of course, that’s something Elena will have to learn to get past if she wants to build a lasting relationship with Nate.
Back with Lily, she’ll cross paths with Chloe and connect with her in some way. Chloe and Lily will be on the same page, so that could involve a mutual understanding of Billy.
Lily may like talking to Billy’s ex about his high-stakes situations and the tricky task of being supportive without enabling bad habits.
