The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, January 12, teases that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will feel hopeful as Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) begins her story. Amanda has made it clear that she’s not asking for money or anything else from her birth mother.
Answers are all Amanda wants, so she’ll hope that Naya’s honesty will satisfy this void she’s been feeling.
Unfortunately, Amanda won’t get what she’s expecting from Naya. The truth will be harsh and painful for Amanda to hear. That could mean Naya got pregnant following an assault, which might explain why Naya’s being so negative about Amanda’s search for an explanation.
However, Naya could have other reasons for wanting nothing to do with Amanda and never seeking her out. No matter what Naya spills, it doesn’t look like this will turn into some happy reunion – not right now anyway.
There’s always a chance for Naya and Amanda to reconnect on better terms later, but things should remain tense for now.
Amanda will lean on Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) after this birth mom meeting. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will let her emotions pour out, so Devon will pull her close and try to get her through this.
Meanwhile, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will most likely dwell on a comment made by Summer Newman (Hunter King). In Monday’s episode, Summer mentions that she saw the appeal in Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) at one point.
Summer admits it was back when Billy was dating her mom, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), but she quickly apologizes for even bringing it up.
Lily assures Summer that it’s fine – they all have their pasts! Nevertheless, Lily’s probably going to follow up on Summer’s statement with Billy on Tuesday. The Young and the Restless spoilers say an old indiscretion of Billy’s will be exposed.
Lily will confront Billy and convince him to make a confession by mid-week, so it sounds like Billy will admit he slept with Summer once upon a time.
Of course, that’s going to bring up a complicated story about manipulating Summer for revenge on Phyllis. This news isn’t going to paint Billy in a very flattering light, so Lily’s going to have some issues with her Billy’s messed-up history.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will get excited about a potential bun in the oven. Abby won’t be feeling well, but she’ll hope that the nausea she’s dealing with is actually morning sickness.
It’d be worth it if Abby found out she was pregnant with Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) child.
In Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Chance and Abby will once again gush about their family plans. Sadly, it seems likely Abby is just sick with some winter bug. It would be a big surprise if the show made it that simple for Abby and Chance.
There have been some ominous clues that suggest Abby won’t be able to conceive, so this may be a fake-out.
Abby won’t know until she takes a pregnancy test, but something tells us the results are going to disappoint her. We’ll fill you in as other Y&R updates come in.
