The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, July 20, tease that the missing Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) nightmare will get worse, so Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will lose it! Meanwhile, Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) alliance will pay off, so let’s discuss what’s coming up in Tuesday’s shocking show.
For starters, Mariah will remain MIA and leave her loved ones more concerned by the second.
Everybody’s been trying hard not to panic, but it isn’t like Mariah to just leave without warning. This text-only communication business is also super weird, so there are good reasons to worry.
Ben “Stitch” Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) recently suggested that an enemy from Tessa’s past might’ve seen that she was headlining now and living in a mansion.
Tessa was obviously terrified over the thought of her history putting Mariah at risk.
However, there’s a big problem with Stitch’s theory since the kidnapper is going to great lengths to make everything seem fine.
There’s been no ransom note or even confirmation that Mariah has been taken.
If someone were targeting Tessa through Mariah, they’d surely want Tessa to know and would be trying to squeeze some money out of her ASAP.
Tessa got threatening texts every day back when those thugs from Canada were demanding cash, so something else has to be going on here.
Unfortunately, the Mariah search party will be short on answers and short on patience.
That’ll lead to another major blowup between Tessa and Abby. It sounds like they’ll start playing the blame game again or will perhaps bicker over what their next step should be.
The good news is that the police can be brought in on this soon. The bad news is it could be quite some time before Abby and Tessa get any sort of resolution to this escalating nightmare.
You can bet captive Mariah’s having an even worse time – wherever she may be!
Stitch’s behavior will remain suspicious, so he’s certainly someone to keep an eye on as a potential snatcher.
Other Y&R spoilers say Amanda will be relieved when Victor proves his loyalty. Victor will report back with info on whether he was able to back Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) into a corner.
The goal will be striking a deal over an incriminating letter. If Sutton takes that deal, it should prove he’s got something to hide when it comes to Richard Nealon’s death.
Of course, that doesn’t seem like something that would hold up against Sutton in court, but it could create reasonable doubt in Naya Benedict’s (Ptosha Storey) case. Besides, Victor will have a few other tricks up his sleeve.
As for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), she’ll be glad that another Newman’s tricks seem to have run out.
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has made some serious changes to his life, so Nikki will want to acknowledge his progress.
Nikki will still be wary of Adam betraying Victor or the family again, but she’ll have an honest discussion with Adam that leaves them in peaceful territory.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam could land in more trouble eventually, so stay tuned!
