The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 8, teases that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will discuss a Baltimore job offer while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) suspects some Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) trouble. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will also make an official move to claim paternity of Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), so here’s what viewers can look forward to.
At Society, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will pitch his new idea for Newman Media’s streaming platform. He’ll tell Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) how they need to emphasize locally focused investigative reporting and provide deep coverage of what’s going on all across the country.
Talk will eventually turn to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and their disagreement on how to handle him. Adam still won’t want to do something that makes them look petty and vindictive. He’ll prefer to just leave Billy in the dust and let that be a more satisfying form of revenge.
Victor, on the other hand, will want to wipe the floor with Billy and teach him a lesson he won’t forget. However, Victor will reluctantly relent and agree to do things Adam’s way.
Meanwhile, Billy and Victoria will discuss Victor’s likely retaliation along with the concept of learning from their mistakes.
Victoria will also get a call from Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and agree to go out with him again, so Billy will warn that she’s swimming in pretty treacherous waters. “You live your life and I’ll live mine,” Victoria will say with a sly smile as she goes.
At the Abbott mansion, Summer Newman (Hunter King) and Kyle will gather Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for a mystery announcement.
Once everyone’s in the living room, Summer and Kyle will reveal that the wedding’s back on.
That news won’t go over well with Nick and Phyllis, but Jack will push them to hear Kyle and Summer out. After Summer and Kyle explain why they’re moving forward, Nick will think it sounds like their minds are made up.
Summer and Kyle will argue that it already feels like they’re bonded forever, so they’re just making it official. Phyllis will acknowledge that they have a wedding to plan, so she’ll try to be supportive despite her concerns.
Later, Kyle will let Harrison meet Summer. He’ll encourage his son to say hi, but Summer will point out that Harrison has been meeting lots of strangers.
Summer will suggest they’ll have lots of time to get to know each other and will hand over a toy for him to play with.
Kyle will seem excited about all the time the three of them will spend together eventually.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah will overhear Tara on the phone talking to her attorney about the airtight prenup. Tara will hope they can at least get a judge to order Ashland to keep paying for the nanny.
After Tara disconnects, Mariah will introduce herself and irritate Tara by butting in her business.
Nevertheless, Mariah will make it clear that Kyle is her friend and that she’s looking out for him.
Mariah will wonder if maybe Tara took advantage of Kyle while he was vulnerable in New York, but Tara will promise she didn’t take advantage of Kyle then and isn’t doing it now.
Tara will also refuse to take Mariah’s word for that she’s not like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) or Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Mariah will understand that under the circumstances, but she’ll remain wary of Tara.
“Of course. Why should you trust me any more than I trust you?” Mariah will ask on Tuesday’s Y&R episode. Mariah will also bring up Summer and how Kyle just keeps coming back to her.
When Mariah argues that Kyle and Summer are meant to be, Tara will suggest that’s lovely and romantic – but she won’t really seem impressed.
After Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) interrupts, Tara will hurry back to Harrison and leave Jack to question Kyle’s nosy pal. Mariah will suggest she was making sure Tara understands how indestructible Summer and Kyle are.
That’ll leave Jack wondering why Mariah felt like Tara needed to hear that.
Tara will find Kyle at the Abbott mansion soon after, so he’ll reveal that Summer met Harrison. Kyle will admit Harrison was shy, but he’ll still seem optimistic about what the future holds.
Kyle will mention that he filed the paternity acknowledgement form, so Tara will thank Kyle for making it official.
When Tara asks if there’s anything else she should know, Kyle will admit his wedding to Summer is back on. Tara will insist that’s great news, but she’ll look pensive and sigh when Kyle leaves the room.
At the coffeehouse, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) will have another flirty chat with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) after they run into each other.
Elena will spot the pair laughing through the window before she approaches their table on the patio.
Once Imani meets Elena, she’ll take off – and Nate will suggest he should probably get going, too. Elena will stop Nate since she had something she wanted to ask about.
Before Elena can dive in, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will interrupt and have a cordial interaction with Nate. Elena will seem pleased to see the progress they’ve made in mending their relationship.
Afterward, Elena will tell Nate about a job offer in Baltimore that she’s considering. She could be an attending physician at another hospital’s emergency department, and it’d come with a pay raise.
Elena will admit she loves her life in Genoa City, but she’ll also be tempted by the prospect of a fresh start.
Nate will be thrown, but he’ll get that it’s hard to pass up amazing opportunities. Elena will wonder if Nate can think of any reason why she should turn it down.
In Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) suite, she’ll introduce Denise Tolliver (Telma Hopkins) to Devon and explain that she’s helping to solve one last PI mystery before her retirement.
Denise will hand over some boxes that belonged to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, who were the first foster parents to take care of Richard Nealon’s daughter.
Denise will add that this felt like unfinished business to her. She’ll wish she could find that little girl all grown up and let her know how desperate her father was to find her.
Once Denise exits, Amanda will find some calendars that confirm Richard was supposed to meet with the Lewises – though the appointment was scheduled for after his death.
It’ll mean a lot to Amanda since her father spent his last days on earth looking for her. Devon won’t understand why Sutton Ames (Jack Landron) is so against a strategy change in the case. He also won’t get why Sutton is shutting Amanda out.
Devon will suspect there’s more to Sutton’s resistance and will wonder if maybe Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) is more fragile than they know. He’ll consider the possibility that she had an earlier breakdown or something that would leave Sutton concerned.
Regardless of the reason, Amanda will know she can’t just let this go. She’ll think the family needs to understand the risk – that Sutton’s pride could cost him his freedom.
When Imani arrives in her half-sister’s suite, she’ll be upset when Amanda insists they have to bring the whole truth to the jury. Imani will remind Amanda that Sutton doesn’t want to handle it that way.
Amanda will argue that Sutton is a smart man and wouldn’t willingly put himself at a disadvantage. She’ll note that Imani, however, has been adamant that secrets should remain secrets.
Imani will insist that it’s not her call to make. She’ll argue that Sutton is protecting Naya as well as Amanda, but Amanda won’t buy that this is happening for her sake.
Amanda will want everyone to understand that losing the case is a real possibility. She’ll think it’s time to talk to Sutton herself and settle this. As other Y&R updates come in, we’ll keep you in the loop.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say some exciting developments are still to come in Sutton’s case, so stay tuned. CDL will have tons of other great Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news for you, so drop by regularly.
