The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, March 16, teases that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will stop by Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse to go over the latest changes she made to his donor agreement, which she’ll plan to file in the morning.
That’ll lead to Amanda noticing Devon’s sofa looks messy, so she’ll wonder what happened.
Devon will flash back to sleeping with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) before telling Amanda that he can be a slob when he’s tired. After Devon claims that he crashes on the couch sometimes when he’s exhausted from work, he’ll go to grab a couple drinks for them.
As Amanda tidies up the sofa, she’ll seem taken aback when a woman’s bracelet falls out of a blanket she’s folding.
When Devon returns, Amanda will confront him with the bracelet. Devon will admit Elena came by last night, so she probably dropped it then.
Amanda will seem suspicious and will mention that Elena needs a shoulder to cry on right now – that Elena hit a rough patch with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). There seems to be a secret, so Amanda will think it’s time for someone to tell her what’s going on.
At the cottage, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will plop down in a chair as he complains about his legs and feet feeling like they’re on fire. Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will insist something’s very wrong here and that they’ve got to get Rey help before he gets worse.
At Society, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will give Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) the latest on “Project Baby.” Abby will excitedly talk about how they may be well on their way to having a baby by the time Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) returns.
Jack will get updates on Abby’s eggs being fertilized and hope it all works out.
When Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) appears with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), he’ll introduce Jack as John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) son and “Genoa City royalty.”
Ashland will remind Tara that she met Jack’s son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), earlier – and that’ll leave Tara on edge. However, Tara will do her best to hide her uneasiness as Ashland and Jack chat.
Once Abby gets an introduction of her own, she’ll go back to the kitchen to tell the chef they’ve got some special guests. Jack will praise Billy for having vision and fearlessness as he talks about the Cyaxares battle with Ashland, who’ll realize Jack wants him to tip his hand about his upcoming decision.
Ashland won’t take the bait, so Jack will chuckle about how Ashland can’t blame him for trying.
Next, Ashland will mention how he hopes his son will take on the family business someday. Tara will pipe up that Harrison Locke is a little young for corporate takeovers – and Ashland will look at Tara somewhat quizzically.
After Ashland insists on buying Jack a drink in the lounge area, Jack will join Ashland and Tara to continue their conversation. Ashland will ask about Kyle and get confirmation that he was living in New York a few years ago.
Jack will talk about how Kyle sowed his wild oats and then returned ready to work – now as Jack’s co-CEO.
Tara will eventually steer the conversation away from Kyle as she talks about being a Jabot customer. She’ll insist that she loves the skincare line and is wearing Jabot’s “Cherish Me” lipstick, which is her favorite. Abby will seem intrigued by the three of them talking as she returns behind the bar.
In a suite at The Grand Phoenix, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will ask if Kyle’s sure he’s OK with living a lie. Kyle will wonder why Summer’s trying to make him question this, but she just won’t want Kyle to have any regrets.
Kyle will argue that Harrison has two parents who love him – and that’s all that matters.
After Kyle admits he’s glad he told Summer the truth, he’ll talk about how secrets have caused problems for them in the past. Kyle will be apologetic about not coming clean right away, but he was afraid of losing Summer again.
Summer will insist that the only way Kyle will ever lose her is by lying to her. She’ll argue that they just have to be honest, even if it means hurt feelings – because there’s nothing they can’t get through together.
Kyle will feel like this has somehow made them even stronger, so he’ll be pleased to have Summer in his corner.
After Kyle says he’ll buy Summer dinner at Society, they’ll head over and check their coats. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Tara will decide to freshen up, so she’ll spot Kyle and Summer as she’s heading to the restroom – and they’ll spot Tara, too.
Summer and Kyle will end up having an awkward interaction with Ashland as well as Jack before they excuse themselves to get takeout. While Kyle talks to Abby, Summer will corner Tara to point out that there are no secrets in her relationship with Kyle.
Tara will wonder what it is that Summer wants, but Summer will insist she was just about to ask Tara the same thing.
Tara will note that simply in town with her husband on business; there are no ulterior motives. However, there is someone Summer should be worried about according to Tara – and that’s Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Back with Abby, she’ll talk about how important it is to overcome challenges and focus on love. Abby will argue that Kyle should go ahead and “put a ring on it,” so Kyle will suggest that they’ll let Abby know when the time comes.
Kyle will promise there’s no way he’s letting Summer go again.
Soon after, Ashland will seem suspicious as Kyle and Tara share a tense look. Once Summer rejoins Kyle and they’re heading out, Kyle will wish him luck with his business ventures. Ashland will talk about how luck has very little to do with it, so Jack will ask what Ashland’s secret is.
“Well, the key is being able to read the competition, figuring out what they’re trying to hide, how far they’ll go to get what they want and what they’re terrified they’ll lose,” Ashland will insist in Tuesday’s Y&R episode.
As Kyle and Summer get their coats, Summer will assure Kyle that she doesn’t think Ashland suspects anything. Kyle, on the other hand, won’t be able to shake the feeling that Ashland is indeed suspicious.
After Ashland tells Jack that they don’t like to be away from their son too long, Tara will exchange another look with Kyle through the window.
At Crimson Lights, Elena will notice her bracelet is missing as she flashes back to canoodling with Devon after their steamy session. Nate will sense that Elena has a lot on her mind, so he’ll admit he’s got some time if she wants to talk.
Moments later, Sharon will summon Nate to help with Rey, so Nate will want to continue this conversation with Elena later.
Once Nate’s gone, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will walk in and push Elena to spill what’s going on. Once Elena has filled Lola in off screen, Lola will reel over Elena “accidentally” sleeping with her ex again.
Although Lola won’t want to judge, she’ll think Elena’s way too smart for this. Lola will think Elena has to figure out what she really wants.
Back at Devon’s penthouse, he’ll tell Amanda that he’s just been trying to work toward forgiveness with Elena and give them closure.
Devon will acknowledge his own blame in neglecting Elena before things fell apart. Devon will claim they just don’t want to bring baggage to their next relationships.
Amanda will want Devon to be honest about how concerned she should really be. She never thought of herself as a jealous person, but she’ll imply that’s what she’s feeling now.
Devon will insist he’s just working through things he thought he already handled, so Amanda will wish him luck with that and storm out.
On the Crimson Lights patio, Elena will fantasize about being happily reunited with Devon – just before Amanda bursts in the daydream to lash out at them both. Then, Elena will imagine Nate insisting that he’s who she should be with – that all Elena has to do is let the past go.
At the cottage, Y&R spoilers say Nate will find out about Rey’s symptoms. He’ll promise to draw blood and run some tests to get to the bottom of his medical issue. Sharon will admit she’s done research online and fears this could be something neurological.
Later, Nate will find Elena again at the coffeehouse. He’ll admit he can’t remain in limbo, so he’s making this easier for Elena. Whatever they had is over – and Nate’s moving on.
