The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, November 2, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will face a final blow while Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) confesses to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks). Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will also find a surprise helper, so let’s talk about what’s coming up.
First on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Abby will have a difficult realization. There’ll be some sort of rude awakening for Abby where it really hits her that Chance Chancellor (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) is gone.
It’s possible Abby will literally awaken from a picture-perfect dream about Chance coming home – only to have her bubble burst when she wakes up.
However, Abby’s realization could come in the real world instead if Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) has more news.
Christine is still waiting on a positive identification on the remains from the explosion site. There could be some confusion or even trickery on Chance’s part to stay safe. The result might be a positive ID that proves to Abby that Chance is truly dead.
Then again, Abby’s realization might be about the funeral she’ll have to plan for Chance. She’ll indeed end up planning this memorial service eventually, but that’s bound to take a toll on her emotional well-being.
As for Mariah, she’ll feel the need to admit something to Tessa. Mariah will no doubt feel herself becoming overly protective of Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor again, so she may confess that. It’s important to communicate and lean on Tessa to work through all the baby issues.
Mariah might even admit to thinking she could step up as a fill-in mom if Abby falls apart. She might realize it’s not healthy to have that mindset and need Tessa to remind her not to get too attached.
Over with Devon, he’ll open up to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and bond with her in the process. After Sharon tries to help Abby deal with her trauma, Devon will be appreciative.
Devon may reflect on losing Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) – and Sharon could reflect on losing Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) as well.
One way or another, Sharon and Devon will form a surprising connection. They’ll be kindred spirits who both want to help Abby in any way she can. Devon will get a mood boost from Sharon, so that’ll rejuvenate him a bit as he prepares to offer Abby more support.
Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will share some warm moments of their own as they reflect on their history.
Ashley and Victor continue to come together for Abby, so it’ll be nice to see these exes on good terms and on the same side.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Abby will get a miracle when Chance returns from the dead down the road, so that’s something to stay tuned for.
Until then, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will determine there’s no way forward for their relationship.
Nick and Phyllis will officially throw in the towel since it’s just not healthy to keep fighting constantly.
