The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 2, reveals that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be prescribed meds – and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will open up about how she feels she should be Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s mom.
At the Chancellor mansion on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will let Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) know he called Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). He’ll feel it’s important to have a trusted doctor around.
Ashley will hope Abby doesn’t suffer a break from reality and agree that they need to be there for Abby in her time of need. Once Nate arrives, Victor will admit he thinks Abby could use a low dose of pills for her anxiety.
Abby won’t be pleased to see Nate since talking to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) was enough, but Nate will point out that he’s been in her shoes. He’ll want to talk as a friend and will mention how he grieved his fiancée.
However, Abby won’t think their situations are the same since Nate had proof that his wife-to-be was gone.
Abby won’t have the same evidence and truly won’t believe in her heart that Chance Chancellor (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) is dead. Nate will insist he understands, but Abby will snap at him for trying to placate her.
Fortunately, Nate will know Abby’s just overreacting because she’s running on fumes. He’ll convince her to eat and get some sleep.
Abby will be willing to take the low-dose anti-anxiety meds Nate prescribes, but she won’t think she’ll need them since she’s pretty tired.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah will fret over Dominic potentially absorbing all the negativity at the Chancellor house. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will think Mariah’s trauma has been triggered a bit, so she’ll want to take her back to their suite to rest.
Mariah will insist on staying with Dominic for a while longer since he needs her.
Devon will get a text from Abby that asks him to bring the baby home, but Mariah will wonder if he really thinks that’s a good idea.
After Devon assures Mariah that Dominic’s mother and grandparents are ready to take care of him, she’ll reluctantly leave with Tessa.
Once Tessa is alone with Mariah in their hotel room, she’ll admit she’s concerned. Tessa will think Mariah feels like she’s the only one who can properly take care of Dominic.
Mariah will try to downplay everything at first, but Tessa will keep trying to pry her true feelings out.
Mariah will confess that this isn’t the life she promised Dominic. Tessa will point out that Mariah can’t control Chance dying unexpectedly, but Mariah will feel like she failed the baby and can’t be there for him in the way she wants.
“Are you saying you wish he was your son and not Abby’s?” Tessa will ask. Mariah will admit she can’t help feeling that’s the way it should’ve been – that she should be Dominic’s mom. Although Mariah will know it’s not right or rational, she’ll want to be honest with Tessa.
To Mariah’s surprise, Tessa won’t go screaming for the hills. She’ll think they should examine Mariah’s feelings and tackle this together, so Mariah will think Tessa has the patience of a saint.
After Mariah gets a work text, she’ll realize she needs to get some numbers in ASAP. Tessa will look worried as Mariah focuses on her laptop and puts off dealing with her baby issues.
Back at the coffeehouse, Devon will talk to Sharon about Abby being in denial. He’ll also talk about how spending time with Dominic helps him make up for the time he didn’t get to spend with the child Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) lost.
Sharon will think Devon is a perfect match with Dominic since he’ll never get to know Chance.
Devon will really hope Abby can stay strong for the baby and avoid a self-destructive phase. Afterward, Devon will stroll through the park with Dominic and look pensive.
As for Sharon, she’ll step in the back of Crimson Lights and gaze at a picture of Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) on her phone.
On the sofa at the Chancellor mansion, Abby will dream she’s in various places that are significant to her love story with Chance. She’ll recall the hostage crisis at The Grand Phoenix along with the fake theft bust.
Abby will magically be transported to the suite they first made love in next. She’ll eventually land in the park, where she first told Chance she loved him – and where Chance proposed.
Abby will be an emotional wreck as she deals with everything in his dream. She’ll feel like if there’s something preventing Chance from coming home, she has to find him.
On a nearby bush, Abby will eventually spot the elephant ornament Chance gave her for the baby’s first Christmas. She’ll struggle to understand why Chance would take such a huge risk by leaving her.
Abby will talk about how she believed in Chance and in them as a couple, but she won’t know what to believe now.
When Abby hears Dominic crying, she’ll wake up and see that Devon has brought him home. Abby will pick Dominic up in her arms and let him know that his mommy’s got him.
