The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, November 9, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will have a 6:00 p.m. deadline for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) while Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) jet request gets denied. Here’s what Y&R fans can expect on Tuesday’s exciting episode.
At Society, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will run into Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and wonder which one of them should tell Summer Newman-Abbott (Hunter King) about their breakup.
Either way, Nick will feel like their daughter needs to know her parents aren’t together anymore.
Phyllis will suggest she could tell Summer unless Nick has other news he wants to deliver. Nick will wonder what Phyllis means, so she’ll bring up Chance Chancellor (soon-to-be Connor Floyd) and how they think he may have been killed in the line of duty.
Once Phyllis realizes this is the first Nick’s hearing about it, she’ll be apologetic. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will watch the intense conversation through the window before approaching Phyllis after Nick leaves.
Although Phyllis won’t want to talk about her breakup, she’ll end up doing it anyway and will cry over being a failure.
However, Jack will insist it’s never a mistake to love someone who wants the best for you. He’ll promise “Red” that she’ll be happy again one day, so Phyllis will try to believe that.
At Crimson Lights, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) won’t appreciate Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) half apology since it’ll still seem like Sharon is blaming Billy.
Lily won’t think Billy’s accusations regarding Adam are all that wild and will act like Adam is the one with the vendetta.
Afterward, Nick will join Sharon and suggest he’s determined not to wallow in his heartbreak. He’ll want to pick up some of Abby’s favorite cakes, so Sharon’s reaction will tell him that she knows about Chance.
Nick will get updates on Sharon’s attempt to counsel Abby, so he’ll be grateful for that. As for Nick and his family drama, he won’t see that improving anytime soon.
At Newman Media, Billy will warn Adam that he’s got Camilla Rhodes’ original letter. He’ll insist he won’t publish the story he’s working on as long as Adam calls off the attack on ChancComm.
Adam will call Billy’s bluff instead and will suggest the hard copy’s already been destroyed. Billy will reiterate that he has the original along with a stashed Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones), but Adam will try to act like Gaines is on a beach somewhere.
Billy will mention Gaines’ time in a Tuscan farmhouse as proof that he indeed has Gaines. He’ll urge Adam to make the right choice by 6:00 p.m. or else the story will go wide.
Later, Billy will join Lily and express doubt that Adam will surrender. Billy will add that the clock is ticking and expect things to get very interesting soon.
At the ranch, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will tell Victoria Newman-Locke (Amelia Heinle) about Abby’s plans to travel to the explosion site. He’ll urge Victoria to tell Abby what a foolish undertaking that is, so Victoria will agree to try.
At the Chancellor mansion, Abby will assure Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that there are plenty of other people who can watch Dominic Newman-Abbott-Chancellor – though she’ll be glad Mariah seems to be on her side.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will argue this isn’t about taking sides; it’s about Abby doing something risky.
Devon will refuse to let Dominic lose his mother as well, but Abby will be so sick of listening to the state department. Abby will argue that they’re the ones who got Chance into this mess in the first place.
Mariah will once again offer to move back in and care for Dominic, but Victoria will interrupt when she arrives at the door.
Abby will ask Victoria if she can use the Newman jet, but Victoria will deny that request and urge her sister to leave this to the experts.
Victoria will point out Victor doesn’t think this is a good idea either, but Abby will snap that Victoria of all people should understand.
Abby will mention how Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) is staring death in the face, but Victoria will argue that she’s going to need her loved ones after Ashland dies.
Victoria will think Abby needs to be home with her loved ones right now as well, so that’ll lead to an emotional hug.
Meanwhile, Devon will tell Mariah and Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) that he’s concerned about Abby’s state of mind.
Nina will worry they won’t be able to convince Abby not to take the trip – and Mariah will fret over Dominic absorbing all the tension.
When Mariah wants to check on Dominic, Nina will advise against it since Dominic’s sleeping schedule has been off. Nina won’t want to risk waking Dominic up, so Mariah will understand and take off to handle a few things in case she needs to come back.
Afterward, Nina and Devon will agree it’d be a horrible idea for Mariah to move back in.
Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will voice her own concerns when she hears Mariah made the offer. Mariah will argue that it’s an emergency situation, but Tessa won’t want to see Mariah blow all the progress she’s made.
Once Devon and Nina take a fussy Dominic to the park, they’ll return and let Abby hold him briefly. Dominic will continue to cry – and more tears will fall for Abby as well.
Victoria will tell Devon she thinks she got through to Abby about the trip, but she’ll fear her sister has a long way to go in her recovery.
Back at Newman Media, Victor will talk to Adam about Chance’s demise. He’ll insist that whoever was responsible for Chance’s death will pay, but taking care of “Billy Boy” will be the more pressing matter.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say the Newman Media and ChancComm battle will come with some curveballs, so stay tuned.
