The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Friday, March 26 – Rey Finds Proof in Adam’s Shaving Kit – Amanda’s Murder Case

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Friday, March 26, teases that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will drop a bomb on Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), who’ll be puzzled over the paper he’s been handed.

Rey will don a pair of gloves and prepare to dig through the penthouse since he’ll have a search warrant.

Rey will let Adam know he’ll be looking through his car as well, so Adam will wonder what this is all about. He’ll pummel Rey with questions, but Rey won’t answer them.

Rey will, however, apologize to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) as she sits motionless in her wheelchair. He’ll assume this must be hard for Chelsea to watch.

Chelsea will be loving every minute of this and will apologize in her own mind to Rey for poisoning him. Nevertheless, Chelsea will feel certain it’ll all be worth it in the end. She’ll eagerly await what she knows Rey’s going to find during his search.

Adam will spot Rey seeming a tad unsteady on his feet, so he won’t think the detective looks so good. When Rey goes upstairs, Adam will check out a news story about Rey being taken to the hospital by ambulance after coming down with a mysterious illness.

Adam will recall that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) said Rey was sick, but he didn’t think it was that bad.

As Adam moves in close to Chelsea, he’ll push her to reveal what she knows. Adam will run down the list of options and realize there are three in his opinion. One is that Chloe orchestrated this, but Adam will also consider that Chloe joined forces with Chelsea or that Chelsea was acting alone.

Adam will zero in on the idea Chelsea recovered just enough to fool him along with everyone else. He’ll grow increasingly agitated when Chelsea refuses to respond.

Adam will finally grab his coat and slam out of there, but he’ll open the door just a crack and peek back in. When Adam sees Chelsea relax and smile, he’ll shake his head in disgust.

Once Adam is gone, Y&R spoilers say Rey will return to the living room and call out for him. He’ll see that Adam bailed, so he’ll let Chelsea know he’s going to summon somebody to stay with her until the nurse can come.

In a moment alone, Chelsea will walk around the penthouse and talk about still being a con artist at heart. Chelsea will rant about Adam’s deception and enduring love for Sharon.

Chelsea will wish that thinking Adam died in that explosion was where their story ended. Everything that came after that only led to anger and pain.

Chelsea will try not to dwell on the time she’s wasted since Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is what’s most important. She won’t know exactly how she’s going to explain things to Connor, but she’ll know they have to build a new life together away from Adam.

At Sharon’s house, she’ll welcome Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and offer some vague details about the thallium situation. Sharon will argue that she can’t say much about police business and all that. She won’t seem keen on talking about it due to the suspicions surrounding Adam.

Instead, Sharon will want to know how Mariah’s embryo transfer went, so Mariah will admit it went according to plan. She’ll feel like it’s really hitting her that she might be carrying Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) baby right now.

Although Mariah will be a bit scared over that thought, she’ll also feel hopeful and will like the idea of helping Abby become a mom. The same goes for helping Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) become a dad.

Mariah will feel like Chance and Abby are going to be amazing parents if this surrogacy pans out. She’ll also admit to already feeling protective of this potential child, which Sharon will understand.

Sharon will talk about wanting to shield Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) from her struggles, but she’ll know she can’t. That said, Sharon will hope the worst of Faith’s problems are behind her.

At the ranch, Faith will get some exciting news about her secret admirer. A text will reveal that it’s Tommy Ross, who’s apparently a boy that Faith finds rather dreamy. Faith will marvel over Tommy even noticing her, but “Tommy” will insist he had to notice “Faith the avenger.”

“Tommy” will send bizarre texts pushing Faith to tell him he loves her, so she’ll finally cave in and do it. After “Tommy” disappears from their chat, Faith will wonder what’s going on. She’ll get a message back about looking on social media – where Faith’s love declaration to Tommy will be posted for all to see.

Faith will eventually get confirmation that her secret admirer is actually Jordan (Madison Thompson). It’ll leave Faith heartbroken and reeling over the betrayal of someone she once considered a friend.

Jordan will argue that Faith got boring and whiney – that she was letting her mommy control her life and decide who she should be friends with.

Since Jordan didn’t want to waste any more time on Faith, she clearly decided to torment her instead. Faith will be devastated and won’t be able to hide it from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) later, so she’ll come clean about Jordan’s nasty trick.

Nikki will argue that Jordan was never really Faith’s friend then and offer reassurance that Faith will get through this.

Faith will pretend she’s feeling better and getting hungry, so Nikki will think that’s a good sign. After Nikki goes to the kitchen, Faith will sob over Jordan’s cruelty again and steal a tequila bottle from Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) stash. Faith will rush out with tears in her eyes and the bottle in her hand.

Back at Sharon’s place, Rey will come home and wonder if Adam has contacted her. Sharon will insist Adam hasn’t and will be shocked to learn Rey already discovered proof against him.

Rey will talk about finding Adam’s shaving kit with a vial of white powder inside – white powder that tested positive for thallium.

Rey will also mention looking through Adam’s car, which had the figurine that went missing from the cottage. A tray also turned up, so Rey will push Sharon to fill him in on the significance of these items to Adam.

Sharon will do her best to downplay them as trinkets, but she’ll confess they were from Adam and were reminders of their history.

Rey will grumble about the fact that they were displayed in the house, but he’ll eventually shift to the problem at hand: Adam being MIA. Since Adam bolted from the penthouse, Rey will assume Adam knew he was about to get busted.

Rey will argue that Sharon apparently knows Adam better than anyone, so he’ll wonder where she thinks Adam might be.

At The Grand Phoenix, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will learn why Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey) has contacted her. It turns out a reporter has been trying to connect Naya’s father, Sutton Ames, to an old crime.

Naya will insist Sutton is innocent, but she’ll admit it’s serious since he’s being implicated in a murder.

Amanda won’t get why Naya is coming to her with this case and won’t like the idea of representing the man who forced Naya to give up Amanda as well as Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).

Naya will feel like Amanda should be invested since Sutton’s accused of killing her father, Richard Nieland.

Amanda will point out she’s not a criminal defense attorney, but Naya will argue that Amanda does have education in this area. Besides, Amanda defended Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) against criminal charges not too long ago.

Amanda will point out that case didn’t go to trial, but Naya will keep pushing and pushing. She’ll really think Amanda’s the best person to handle this.

Naya will even argue that when this murder issue came up, she took it as a sign that Amanda came into her life right when she should. This will be a chance for Naya and Amanda to grow closer in Naya’s opinion.

Naya will even want to welcome Amanda into the family and will insist there won’t be any complaints.

Of course, it’ll seem to Amanda that she’s only wanted now because she’s useful. Amanda will gripe about becoming a PR stunt. Amanda will speculate that the idea is if she defends Naya’s father against the accusations regarding her own father, it might persuade a jury.

Amanda will also find it odd that it’s taken 30 years for this murder charge to materialize, so the whole thing will be overwhelming and confusing. Nevertheless, Naya will truly need Amanda’s assistance and will feel like this could be a path to forgiveness.

Naya will also feel like if Amanda’s father really was murdered through an arranged car crash, then Amanda should want to get to the real story.

Once Naya heads downstairs with Amanda, they’ll discuss the case a bit more. Amanda will want some time to consider whether she’ll help, so Naya will be understanding. She’ll assure Amanda that she still wants to keep building a relationship regardless of the decision Amanda makes.

At the Chancellor mansion, Abby will fish for info about Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) feelings on not raising his first child. Devon will think Abby’s worried about him intruding on Chance’s role as the father, but Abby will admit she’s just being nosy about Devon’s personal family plans.

Devon will be hopeful about having a child and a wife someday. Although Devon won’t think a family’s going to happen for him anytime soon, Abby will hint that it could be closer than Devon expects.

It’ll dawn on Devon that Abby wants the scoop on the situation with Amanda and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).

Devon will acknowledge that he made a mess before Abby reflects on missing Chance. Abby will decide that maybe there’s a way to include Chance after all and will mention the idea of starting a video diary for him to watch later.

Devon will think embryo transfer day calls for a celebration, so he’ll suggest dinner and soft serve ice cream instead of alcohol for Mariah’s sake.

Back at the Grand Phoenix later, Devon will notice Amanda and Naya’s intense-looking discussion. After Naya exits, Devon will approach Amanda and offer to listen to her troubles.

Amanda won’t be ready to confide anything in Devon at this point, but he’ll let her know she can always rely on him.

We’ll bring you the latest Y&R news as it comes in. The Young and the Restless spoilers say some shockers are still to come as Amanda ultimately tackles this murder case. CDL will have other hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to read up on, so check back regularly.
