The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, February 1, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is on a mission. He summons Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to insist on a family dinner.
Victoria is pretty busy these days and Nick already knows he can’t make it, but Victor doesn’t like how the family’s splintering.
At the Chancellor mansion, Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) and Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) are excited about their family plans. Once Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) emerges from her guest room and joins them, she says she slept like a baby – though she hopes that isn’t bad luck to say.
Chance assures Mariah there’s going to be a lot of baby talk around there from now on. Abby is just so happy! She insists the three of them are going to make a baby together. Mariah and Abby talk about the surrogacy lists they stayed up late making. Abby also has a spreadsheet she thinks will be helpful.
Mariah mentions that Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is going to pay a visit to her herbalist for some pregnancy teas, so Abby’s glad to hear that Tessa’s truly on board.
Mariah insists her girlfriend is ridiculously amazing and will be her emotional support. Abby promises a legal agreement to ensure that Mariah’s comfortable, and everyone’s feelings will always be taken into consideration as well.
Chance takes off for his doctor’s appointment to make sure everything’s good to go on his end. Abby hopes it wasn’t too presumptuous, but she’s made an appointment for Mariah. She surprises Mariah with the news that it’s for this afternoon.
Mariah guesses it pays to be a Newman-Abbott-Chancellor, so Abby grins about it having its perks sometimes.
At Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse, he wakes up on the sofa after a steamy session with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) the night before. Elena looks shaken and miserable next to Devon.
Once Elena hastily puts clothes on, Devon wonders if they should talk about what this means or at least how Elena feels. Elena insists she feels like she should go and rushes out.
At the cottage on Monday’s Y&R episode, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) talks to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) about keeping a closer eye on Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) when she’s with Jordan (Madison Thompson).
Sharon doesn’t want to lecture or push too much to ensure that Faith stays open, so Rey suggests she’s playing “good cop.”
Sharon admits she’s decided to treat Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and hopes Rey can understand. Rey wishes Sharon had made a different decision, but this is her choice to make. That said, Rey does think Sharon is asking for trouble by putting herself in such close proximity to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
At Adam’s penthouse, he fills Chelsea in on Sharon deciding to help her. Adam hopes Chelsea can see that this is going to be a positive first step, so she blinks once to agree.
“Yes, let’s provoke the beast inside,” Chelsea says in her own mind. She thinks to herself that Adam also gets to be closer to Sharon and sarcastically suggests everybody wins.
Later, Sharon shows up and Chelsea grumbles the whole time in her thoughts. Sharon suggests easing into this and states that she’ll drop by every few days to chat. She can’t make any promises, but maybe something good will come out of it.
“Something good with Adam, you mean. That’s what you’ve always wanted,” Chelsea thinks.
Back at Newman Enterprises, Victor talks about Adam and doesn’t expect Nick or Victoria to show sympathy for Adam. He does, however, expect Victoria and Nick to put whatever’s bothering them behind them.
Victor says Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will get in touch with Victoria and Nick about the dinner. It’s not a request and is obviously very important.
On Monday’s Young and the Restless episode, Nick and Victoria debate the dinner situation after Victor leaves. Victoria admits it would be nice to not have to pretend things are OK between them. Nick rants about Victoria attacking the woman he loves and wants an apology.
Victoria concedes that buying a controlling interest in the hotel wasn’t the classiest move, so she admits she was wrong. If Victoria could take it back, she would. Nick isn’t satisfied and wants Victoria to give that same apology to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Elena runs into Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) at Crimson Lights, so he admits he worried when he couldn’t get in touch with her during the storm. Elena says her phone died and she feel asleep. She admits to getting stuck in the storm, so she’s just now coming home.
Nate hopes Elena didn’t get stuck somewhere she didn’t want to be. Elena says it was fine and rushes off to get ready for her shift. As Elena rushes off, Nate watches and looks pensive in the patio doorway.
Mariah makes it back from her appointment and admits everything looks good health-wise. They’re still waiting on some bloodwork, but there’s no reason to think she can’t carry a pregnancy to term for Abby. Abby is thrilled and assures Mariah of her deep appreciation.
Later, Chance sits on the sofa looking upset when Abby walks in. She wants to celebrate the good news from Mariah’s appointment, but then she realizes Chance didn’t call her after his own.
Chance updates Abby on his low sperm count and low motility damage, which might’ve been the result of the medication he took in the hospital after getting shot – or perhaps it was related to the fever from the infection. Chance says the cause doesn’t really matter. The only thing Chance does know is he can’t give Abby a child right now.
Abby tells Chance not to apologize since this isn’t his fault. She reflects on facing one crushing blow and now they’re facing another. Chance notes that there’s a chance it could revert itself, which intrigues Abby.
Chance could wake up one morning and go back to normal. There’s no way to know for sure, but they could potentially move forward with their plans if that happens.
Chance hates himself for not being able to give this to Abby. He knows this isn’t what they planned. “Are you saying you don’t want to have a baby with me anymore?” Abby asks. She says she deserves to know if everything has changed.
Chance insists that he’ll pour a drink and feel sorry for himself for an hour or two. Then, they’ll discuss finding a donor and looking into adoption. “One kid, two, maybe a dozen…” Chance insists. He promises they’ll have a loud, messy family. Their kids will know Chance loves them no matter how they got here.
Abby doesn’t want to pressure Chance, but he’s on the same page about still finding a way to do this. She leaves Chance alone to be with his thoughts for a while. Chance takes a phone call and identifies himself as Detective Chancellor. “I was wondering when you’d finally catch up with me,” Chance says as eerie music plays.
At the penthouse again, Sharon wants Chelsea to feel comfortable during their sessions. If Chelsea ever needs a break, she should just blink twice. Adam interrupts to point out that it’s almost time for Chelsea’s physical therapy, so Sharon gets up to leave. She’s pleasant to Chelsea, who just sits there scowling.
By the door, Chelsea imagines Adam kissing Sharon and thanking her for doing this. “I was happy to do it,” Sharon says seductively. At home, Rey finds a vodka bottle cap in the couch cushions and shows it to Sharon when she comes home.
Sharon realizes Jordan and Faith were drinking last night during the brief window of time they were home alone. She’s calling Nick because they’ve got to do something.
Once Nick arrives, Sharon flies off the handle about the drinking. Nick would hate to think Faith would be so brazen to do it under Sharon’s roof after all the talks they’ve had with her.
Sharon says they can’t keep making excuses and that their daughter needs to be in therapy RIGHT NOW. She’s got a friend she graduated with who specializes in teens, so she’s agreed to come over.
Once Sharon’s preferred therapist arrives, Sharon fills her in on finding the vodka cap from a brand that doesn’t belong to them. Nick wants to talk to Faith and see what she says first. Sharon insists that regardless of what Faith says, she can’t help but feel like their daughter is going down a bad path.
The therapist runs down the list of what Faith’s up against and believes professional counseling is warranted. She can start as soon as Faith is ready. Once the therapist leaves, Sharon snaps at Nick and he argues that Faith isn’t ready.
Rey opts out of this and lets them handle this. Nick argues that they can’t risk Faith locking them out and adds that there’s more than one way to lose a child.
In Society’s kitchen, Elena shows up to see Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). She really needs a friend who won’t judge her right now, so Lola promises this is a “judge-free zone.”
Elena notes that she got stranded with Devon, which was awkward until it was…something else. “Oh, wow,” Lola says. She’s shocked as she realizes Elena spent the night with Devon.
Elena talks about having a conversation with Devon that was long overdue and then rushing off this morning without letting him talk. She then ran into Nate and rushed off on him, too.
It’s apparently Elena’s MO now. Lola gives Elena advice about being honest with herself and deciding what she wants, so Elena knows what she needs to do.
Devon orders a cup of coffee at Crimson Lights before he spots Nate and sits down to talk. They discuss Moses Winters coming to town in a few weeks and how they’re excited about it. Nate feels like he’d better go unless there’s something else on Devon’s mind.
Devon ends up back at the penthouse, where Elena returns to address things between them. She reflects on how Devon feels she pulled him out of the darkness after Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) died. Elena suggests that Devon pulled her out of the darkness, too. He helped Elena remember to dream.
Elena loves Devon and will always be grateful for the time they had together, but they can’t go backwards. She doesn’t know where things are going with Nate, but she feels she owes it to herself to find out. Devon agrees that last night was about trying to recapture something, but their lives are in different places now.
Elena confirms that they feel the same way and wants to know how they should handle this. Devon won’t say anything to Nate. He doesn’t think Elena’s life deserves to get blown up over what they did. Elena doesn’t want to sabotage Devon’s relationship with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan).
Devon clarifies that it’s not a relationship, but they’re on the same page about keeping the secret.
After Chelsea’s therapy session doesn’t go very well, Adam gives her a pep talk. He feels Chelsea should use the frustration and anger she’s feeling – channel that rage into her recovery. After Adam walks away, Chelsea moves her hand.
Victoria apologizes to Phyllis at The Grand Phoenix for making things personal. Phyllis thinks it was a good performance, but she doesn’t really buy it. She will, however, let Nick know that Victoria made the effort.
As other Y&R updates come in, we’ll keep you posted. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis has more battles in store, so don’t miss all the action. CDL will have all the sizzling Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news you need, so stop by frequently.
