The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, June 21, teases that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will accuse gold digger Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) while Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) does some Michigan research and someone spies outside.
At the Abbott mansion to kick things off, Tara will keep up her innocent act with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Tara will be perfectly pleasant and act like she’d never do anything that’d force Kyle to sit on the sidelines when it comes to raising Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez).
Of course, Summer knows better and will think Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) must be behind Tara’s sudden shift to scheming. Summer will try to pry the truth out of Sally, but Sally will play it like she’s jealous of Summer’s success.
Sally will insist Summer would be crazy to pass up that Marchetti offer and will act like Summer’s throwing this victory in her face.
Later, Tara will interrupt when Summer tries to speak with Kyle alone. After Tara mentions Harrison made up a song he’d like to sing to his daddy, Kyle will head up to the kid’s room.
Tara will then seek answers about the Marchetti job and make her stance crystal clear to Summer. She’ll want Summer to understand that she’s not bluffing and will vanish with Harrison if Summer doesn’t leave herself.
Summer will want to tell Kyle exactly what Tara’s capable of, but she’ll eventually switch tactics and contend that they can just forget any of this ever happened. That won’t work for Tara either since she’ll want to reunite with Kyle and raise Harrison together.
Tara won’t buy into Kyle and Summer’s childhood sweetheart story and will push Summer to break up with him. She’ll insist that Summer has to grant Kyle his freedom by calling off the engagement and wedding.
When Tara argues that Summer and Kyle’s relationship has to be over, it’ll hit Summer that Tara wants to use Kyle’s devastation to her advantage.
Summer will think Kyle’s only become an appealing option to Tara now that she needs a backup plan. She’ll basically accuse Tara of being a gold digger by claiming Tara’s only impressed by Kyle’s bank account and CEO status.
Tara will maintain that her feelings are authentic and will expect to have an easy time rekindling thigs once Summer’s out of the picture.
Tara will argue that Summer only has one choice if she wants Kyle to have a bond with his son. She’ll maintain that Summer needs to remove herself from the situation entirely or else Tara will flee and take Harrison with her.
After Kyle rejoins Summer, he’ll notice how unsettled she seems. Summer will downplay it before heading back to her suite, where she’ll be unable to reach Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) over the phone.
Summer will push Phyllis to give her a call back as soon as she wakes up.
In Ashland Locke’s (Richard Burgi) suite, he’ll seem worried that Victoria might bail on spending time together if he turns down her offer.
Victoria will promise that’s not the case, but she’ll think it’d be good for Ashland to mull over her merger proposal alone.
After Victoria spots Billy down in the lobby, he’ll talk her into sitting down for a cocktail. Billy will ask if Victoria has met Harrison or if Harrison has met their kids yet.
That’ll annoy Victoria, who’ll point out that Billy didn’t even brother to tell her he moved in with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).
However, Billy won’t appreciate Victoria comparing sweet Lily to Ashland the Locke-ness monster. Billy will insist it’s risky to get involved with Ashland, but Victoria will get fed up with this discussion and leave.
Afterward, Billy will tell Lily that this seems to be about more than a dalliance or a friendship. Billy won’t know what exactly is going on, but he’ll know it’s something!
Since Lily will get behind Billy’s instincts, she’ll want to trust the alarms going off in his head.
Victoria will wind up crossing paths with Ashland once more at the coffeehouse, where he’ll decide he’s interested in the merger. At the Chancellor mansion, Abby will guess she must’ve been dreaming.
There’ll be no sign of anyone besides Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) despite the shadow hanging above Lily during her nap.
Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will ultimately show up after pulling some strings. She won’t have much info on Chance Chancellor (last played by Donny Boaz), but she’ll know Chance has been in touch with his superior.
Christine will give Abby hope that Chance might come home soon since he’ll apparently be so deep undercover.
Although this is good news, Abby will still find herself doing Internet searches on organized crime and domestic terrorist organizations. Y&R spoilers say Abby will look into things in Michigan, which is where Chance was first sent to.
Nina and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will help Abby deal with all the drama, but more of it’s looming since someone will spy on Abby out of sight. Somebody mysterious will be quite keen on watching Abby through a nearby window.
We’ll deliver updates as other Y&R details emerge. The Young and the Restless spoilers say some twists and turns are still to come on the CBS soap. CDL will have other sizzling Young and the Restless spoilers, news and updates to pass along, so drop by regularly.
