The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Monday, June 28 – Kyle & Summer Sad Goodbye Kiss – Mariah Trashes Selfish Snowflake

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, June 28, teases that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will share a sad kiss goodbye – and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will trash selfish “Snowflake” for bailing on the man she claimed to love.

For starters, Kyle will be determined to track Summer down and try once more to talk some sense into her. Summer will spend the day bidding farewell to plenty of her loved ones – starting with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) at Crimson Lights).

After Summer gives Faith a vague explanation for why she’s taking this job, she’ll make it clear that she’s flying solo.

It’ll soon be Mariah Copeland’s turn to weigh in. Mariah will call Summer a real piece of work and will slam her for breaking Kyle’s heart.

Summer will think they should simply accept that they’ll part ways as rivals. She’ll find it fitting as Mariah tells “Snowflake” goodbye. When Kyle and Mariah cross paths, he’ll object when she starts trash-talking Summer.

Mariah will apologize, but she’ll still feel like the least Summer could’ve done was try to make things work after Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) came into Kyle’s life.

Kyle will decide that’s what he has to do – make Summer understand that they can make this work. However, Kyle will get some mixed opinions when it comes to advice from other Genoa City residents.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), for example, will think Kyle needs to let Summer go and stop fighting a battle he can’t win.

Billy, on the other hand, will argue that it isn’t over until Summer catches that flight. Summer will push Billy to be there for Kyle as a friend, so he’ll try to do that when he crosses paths with his nephew on Monday’s Y&R episode.

Billy will feel like Kyle needs to put his whole heart into fighting for Summer or else he could look back with regret.

As for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she’ll get the shock of her life when Summer actually recommends her to run JCV.

Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) will admit it was Summer’s idea and will agree to appoint Sally as the acting JCV president so she can take the position for a test-drive.

It’ll still be up to Sally to prove herself, but she’ll be thrilled over becoming Summer’s replacement.

Tara will get updates on Sally getting the job she wants and will think things are working out beautifully for them. Their shady teamwork has definiely paid off so far! Back with Summer, she’ll make Jack promise to convince Kyle to accept her choice.

Summer will share a tender moment with Jack before she gets a pep talk at Newman Media. That’s where Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Eric Braeden) will all wish Summer well on her new adventure.

Once Summer heads back to her suite, she’ll cry along with Phyllis in a sweet mother-daughter scene. Phyllis will want to come visit Summer in Milan soon – and she’ll count on Summer to come home for visits as well.

Summer will talk about how much she admires Phyllis before hugging her tightly.

As Summer prepares to board the Newman jet with Nick, Kyle will finally catch up with her in The Grand Phoenix lobby. Nick will think Kyle needs to give it a rest, but Summer will let him talk – though she’ll feel certain it’s not going to do any good.

Even so, Kyle will deliver one last plea to save his relationship. He’ll be convinced Summer can grow to love Harrison and become a strong presence in his life.

Kyle will argue that Harrison already thinks Summer is so cool, but she’ll shut down the discussion and push Kyle to accept this is how it has to be.

Summer will think they can both move on from each other and will give Kyle a final goodbye kiss.

Kyle will be devastated after Summer gives him back his engagement ring – and Summer will pause outside the hotel with tears streaming down her face.

Monday’s episode will certainly be an emotional one, so we’ll fill you in as other Y&R news emerges.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will lick his wounds and perhaps lean on Tara eventually, but she’ll get her comeuppance sooner or later. CDL will have other gripping Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news to check out, so visit us often.
